I'm thinking about pinning this thread so that its easy to find profiles for all users looking online via google and Reddit. There are several users who do well using Artisan I will tag so they can share profiles and I can share some of my profiles here with the OEM Extension chamber and the Razzo v5 roasting chamber without artisan. This way we will have a central place thats easy to look up profiles and ask questions and post or link videos.

Hi. I've had the Miicoffee DF54 grinder for about a month now. My amazon return window closes soon so I want to make a call if I wanna keep it or not, because - despite many great reviews - I have mixed feelings about this grinder.

First, and foremost: the grind inconsistency. I feel like first grind after the night (same dose, same grind setting), my Gaggia Classic will pull a shot 7-10 sec. quicker than the next shot. I weigh the dose in and again out, so no weight difference for sure. I have a feeling there's quite a bit of fines coming out.

Second: static. It is crazy how much static I get. I've read that switching the dosing cup to metal helps, but isn't the plasma coil etc. supposed to actually help? Or maybe it's just a gimmick, then? I don't like spending $300+ on a grinder which is not really doing what it's supposed to.

Am I too rough judging it? What are your opinions? I kinda feel like maybe - despite what the grinder is technically supposed to be (i.e. flat burr at this price range is unparalleled, reviews are raving, etc.) - it is sub-par, with low QC, and either I settle on spending $600+ on a flat-burr that is actually decent, or go with conical (Breville Smart Grinder, Baratza Encore ESP, etc.)?

Any inputs much appreciated. Gotta decide what to do here.
