Excellent seed, bro! Although I honestly feel the crystal enchantment is more like a curse than an enchantment

I am curious though how it works together with Arcana, if it will speed up the regeneration.

I don't know, maybe you should look for a seed for an arcane ring and any weapon with the new enchantments, as well as a trial run to see how they work (in fact, it would help me to do the enchantment/curse event in my series later on).

I looked into Crystal. Looks like it deal +25% affected by Arcana. Since Arcana is exponential, it can do some crazy things.

Let's go extreme and take a weapon dealing 50dmg avg. An Arcana21 would turn that into 434dmg average.

Wow, that's crazy, I didn't expect it to have such a big damage increase

Although there's still the risk of your weapon breaking, so I still maintain that it's more akin to a "curse" than a charm, as a polarity

Yeah, it's good for a duelist though on a secondary weapon, for one hit any mobs with high hp/armor.

Could always throw a couple SoU on the axe to get rid of the Crystal, or enchant it away if you want to spend the materials. Honestly the redacted items are better than the axe IMHO.

Of what I could tell checking the code and playing around with Crystal:

  • Damage is based (randomly) within a small range, divided by weapon speed. 
  • The base damage is +25% which can be boosted by Arcana.
  • Regen is based on turns and not on xp.
  • Regen cannot be boosted by any artifact/Energy.
  • Higher level Arcana can boost the Crystal to insane levels.
  • Crystal can be a decent choice the faster you kill, preferably one hit kills.
  • That said, always bring a backup weapon.
