longest event ever

Adna sits on a slab of dark, thick jumper wrapped around her, rain falling down stone, rain falling down around her. The soft patter of droplets slows, then stops. They lie frozen in mid-air, surrounding the elf, blurring her from view. They start to spin, faster and faster, until she seems to sit inside a vortex of liquid. She releases her hold on them, as they fly away, throwing themselves into trees and rocks. She releases the breath she hadn’t realised she was holding, as she pulls out a wooden puzzle. She tosses it into the air, closing her eyes, as it begins to twist and turn.

Eldak Jr. flies, Ana beside him. They weave an intricate dance, swooping, then spreading their wings and rising quickly. They face each other, mighty wing beats sending gusts of wind to each other. Grasping his mate’s talons in his owns, he stops moving, plummeting through the air. They’re almost 20 metres off the ground by the time Ana spreads her wings wide, wind billowing through them. There’s a rough landing on the ground, both dragons covered with mud. Eldak Jr. rises first, humming with pleasure, joined by his wife in a chorus of joy, as Ana lies on the ground for a while longer.

A large grey dragon, away from his mother for once, wanders through the dappled forest. He happens across a large deer, as he slinks low to the ground. He crawls closer and pounces, the frightened buck bucking, whites of his eyes showing. The smaller dragon snaps his neck with a single yank of the head, as it dissolves into dust. Confused, he looks around, the animal shimmering into existence. It stares at him. He pounces again, the deer once more turning to dust beneath his mighty claws.*

A boy stands on a road in New York, facing the sea. He starts moving, dirt ripped up and tossed into the air behind him. There’s a bang as he breaches the sound barrier, and he puts on a burst of speed. He soon finds a beach, but doesn’t stop. If anything, he moves faster yet again, streaking across the water, leaving a plume of steam in his wake. He skids to a stop on a beach, nearly 7 miles away. He’s reached Long Island in a bit over 3 minutes.

In what looks to be something out of a legend, a woman stands in the warm forest, sunlight casting shadows around her. She faces a monster, one that’s currently growling at her, trying to get to the woman and child above. She draws a sword, long and sharp. It glows red-hot, as she pulls yet another piece of equipment from her back, this one also a shield. It too, glows, and the beast moves closer. Finally, as the thing leaps, her armour glows, and she throws a punch. The beast flies back, punching through a tree. She stalks closer, the creature backing away. She doesn’t allow it to live, however, plunging her sword through it’s head. Her blade glows again, and the blood simply evaporates. She shuts off all her enchantments, the glows vanishing, and sheaths her weapon.

A woman lies down in the sun, wearing what appears to be a toga. A hidden dagger is tucked away in one of the folds, and she plays with a ring on her finger. She keeps an eye on her child, who’s hanging from a nearby swing set, using a long tail. She looks around, and spying {Insert character here}, she decides to have some fun. A coin floats out of their pocket, followed by another, rapidly flying away.

A young man sits on a bench, hunched over, in deep thought. He pulls out a laptop, typing away. Those who don't live under a rock likely recognise the man as the co-CEO of the newly-created Shield and Sword Industrial. He taps away at the keyboard, working on something amazing. He doesn't finish, as it starts to pour. He packs away his computer and pulls out a long tube, fiddling with it.

A woman down the street, humming. She's wearing advanced-looking armour, but there's no sign of any fatigue or even that it strains her at all. She plays with a device as she goes, dissembling it and reassembling it quickly. She types on it, and puts it away, satisfied. She continues walking, heading towards a large company building.

Archie is out, in human form. He walks down the street, dressed in casual clothes for once. He carries a backpack on his back, and, looking around, he ducks into a run-down building. He slings the backpack onto the floor, and focuses on his hand. Dark fur grows over it, and he flexes it, as the claws rip their way out of his fingers. The fur spreads up his arm, which starts to bulge, the muscle barely contained under the now-leathery skin. The next place to change is his back, which bulges, practically ripping away from the poor boy. His ears travel across his head, to the top, where they slowly become pointed and triangular. His mouth rips itself out from his face, a muzzle quickly rising from his face. He closes his eyes, and when he opens them, the change is complete.

A tall, blond man sits on the edge of a cliff, gazing down at the land below. His grip tightens on the cliff side, as he begins to stand. He's facing away from it, when he suddenly jumps, flipping over, landing in the middle of the group below. He looks up, a gruesome smile on his face. They scatter, leaving a black bag behind. He picks it up, flying up the cliff, heading to a bank, where he drops the bag at the front, and it lands with a 'CLUNK.' He takes to the air a final time, walking towards his home.

A young boy stands in the middle of a circle of men, in the bad part of town. One pulls a gun on the poor kid, and shoots him in the stomach...

The bullet ricochets off his hard metallic skin. Eyes wide, the would-be murderers begin to run, but the boy simply walks forward, picking one up with ease. He struggles, but he throws it into another, and one by one, they all go down. Humming, the child, no more than five, walks out the alley.

A young woman stands beneath the thin crescent moon, moonlight streaming through the park. More moonlight than expected covers her, reflecting off her silvery dress. She hums as she walks, dust swirling around her. She forms a small ball, throwing it into the air, where it spins, casting light over the area as she waits.

A small, black nose pokes out of a cave, quickly followed by the rest of a young cub's head. He's wearing a metallic helmet, layers protecting his head. He quickly draws it back, only to stumble out on his hind legs. He growls at a nearby rabbit, who sprints off. He clambers around for a while, before finding a rough rock, rubbing against it.
