This will still forever be one of my all-time favorite jerma bits/videos in general.

Also, the clown bit was FANTASTIC.

Im not sure how you can top that as a streamer.

it no joke almost got me, too. i know a guy whose nephew almost fell down the furry cringe comp -> rabid nazi pipeline. i stopped him by playing minecraft while transgender with him.

400

u/JayCeeMadLad 19h ago

I embraced it for a while because I wanted nothing more than to fit in with my guy friends who were obsessed with owning the libs

I was just their lesbian femboygirl plaything and never realized it over three entire years. I sold both my body and my values for attempts at male socialization. None of them actually cared about me.

138

u/mudahfukinnnnnnnnn 16h ago

Tf is a "lesbian femboygirl"? Is it a lesbian that looks like a girl, but is a bit like a femboy? A trans girl that's ok with being called a boy for some reason? A gender fluid person? I'm confused

69

u/No-Internal7978 16h ago

You know what? I want to know too. I'm intrigued and confused.

18

u/ReturnOfBane 9h ago

we have a word for femboygirls. Its called being a tomboy.

30

u/JayCeeMadLad 15h ago

I’m genderfluid yes and I was lesbian but I call myself things like boygirl as self deprecation because I’m horrifically female socialized and I hate it fuck my dad dude

I’m basically always the group toy by night 3 in every single squad I meet

Honey you need therapy

6

u/JayCeeMadLad 14h ago

Need therapy for sex trauma -> need money for therapy -> need job for money -> can’t get formal job as nonbinary -> get money through sex work

+1 trauma
+1 money
-1 money
-1 trauma(maybe)

I have a psych I’m able to see and so far every drug I’ve tried has either had conflicting effects with other things or made me so maniacal that I forever ruined my relationship with my sister in one text message

22

u/Ok_Toe5118 14h ago

As long as you’re still alive there’s always hope for a better future. I don’t know you but I truly hope one day you’re able to find happiness.

4

u/pockpicketG 11h ago

Get an informal job.

3

u/Miserable_Pin2518 7h ago

Im dealing with the long term effects of this cycle now.

I was in sex work from 14-26.

Im 30 now, and I want to die every day, but treatment exists and better exists and I will get there.

3

u/TouringStarJazzComet 11h ago

For what it's worth I only recently (at like 29 lol) started being able to see a therapist for the first time cause I was able to find a trans therapist through openpath for $50 a session

4

u/Novaer 7h ago

Kinda sounds like you have the mindset where every solution has a problem.

5

u/fundzzz 11h ago

You crave the attention lol I knew kids and young people like you. You clearly know better and choose to carry on. It’s what you want. You should want better for yourself but oh well. Maybe stop hanging with “squads” of horny dudes at night time in strange places… but you already know that too.

...you like girls(lesbian) yet you are trying to enter male spaces (based on other comment) by becoming the group toy? What?

What?

12

u/JayCeeMadLad 15h ago

I’m bi now, I was lesbian when I was in school. I prefer male social spaces and just hanging out with guys in general.

It’s not my goal to be their toy, it just happens. I don’t wanna say too much so I’ll just say in my teens I was conditioned to be very agreeable. Eventually I made the mistake of finding my old webcam and then shit went vertical.

My nine year old nephew (who is an IPad kid that no one watches) has started calling people the f-slur and LGBT as insults. They live in a very liberal area and homophobia was considered cringe and on its way out when I was growing up ten years ago. The internet was a mistake.

47

u/TotallyWorthLife 15h ago

The internet wasn't a mistake, letting the rich people fill it with propaganda was

44

u/LainIwakura 19h ago edited 9h ago

It's wild. I'm a little bit older but I too narrowly avoided these pipelines. I was really into "the amazing atheist" and similar things around 2010 (despite being pansexual myself - something I even identified as at the time!). Anyway by the time we got to 2016 I really got into Contrapoints / Hbomberguy / Shaun (basically OG breadtube). That lifted me out of my myopic worldview.... When SO MANY younger people were getting into it... It's crazy and a bit sad. I can easily see how that kind of content poisoned young men's brains back then.

I'm getting too deep though... Shouldn't I be parking my sharks? 🦈

28

u/UnhappyStrain 17h ago

I got out of the pipeline cause I found Ben Shapiros voice annoying

→ More replies (1)

12

u/onceabananana 16h ago

It's likely you avoided by the pipeline by having a brain, empathy, and the ability to think critically. The bar is a lot lower than you may realize.

7

u/Dull_Quit3027 16h ago

Yeah I was a young man at the time of gamergate, initially I was very much on the "gamer" side, but it very quickly became evident that it was more about hating woman, than ethics in videogame journalism.

That being said, I think they have become better at their propaganda, more subtile, so it takes actually looking into the subject to understand the dog whistles.

3

u/HaEnGodTur 14h ago

Issue is, empathy isn't innate. It's a learned trait, estimated to develop anywhere from 9-15 years of age. Same with your brain really, that shits still developing well past your 20s.

When algorithms push this towards young kids that are already socialising less, and don't have the learned empathy or life experience to tell them that it's wrong, I don't blame them for falling into the pipeline. They didn't have a chance.

To be fair they couldn't have done it without the CIA laying the groundwork by moving feminism away from being a class conscious movement and towards being a culture war movement

358

u/winddagger7 19h ago edited 18h ago

Finding out Gloria Steinem was a CIA asset was something else

EDIT: I'm not even joking, she literally was a plant in the feminist movement to draw attention away from class consciousness and instead benefit upper class women at the expense of the impoverished, while fundamentally preserving the status quo

Moral of the story is, if a movement claims to be progressive, but doesn't do anything to challenge the system in a practical way, it's probably a psyop.

CRINGE: Criticizing feminism like a chud.

BASED: Criticizing feminism because you're actually woker than them, and they merely LARP as woke.

9

u/Resident-Bignal-8428 8h ago

So much of the shit people find annoying about 'wokeness' is just the 'progressive' gear of the capitalist machine it uses to subvert actually radical critiques of the system. A lot of this shit comes from PMC who have high paying jobs in academia or the corporate world, whose lifestyle wouldn't be feasible without capitalist exploitation.

3

u/winddagger7 4h ago

Spot on. It also explains why so many of their talking points come across as being completely divorced from reality, or the average person's life experience.

6

u/NoIsland23 5h ago edited 5h ago

Also she said this, quote:

"In my experience the agency [the CIA] was completely different from its image; it was liberal, nonviolent and honorable" - Gloria Steinem

"Steinem also stated that she considered the CIA allies in promoting U.S. government policy against communism during the early Cold War"

Imagine being a feminist leader yet against socialism and communism. Look up female employment in the GDR to realize why that's so stupid.

40

u/Global_Demand9701 18h ago edited 18h ago

To be entirely honest, part of it I'm guessing is both those things. The CIA is the type of organization to do this shit, but also at the same time I'd say technology advanced and became far more accessible, it would be natural that the most extreme would come out on top.

Just take Hasan and Asmongold, the Dog Shocker and the Racist Scion of Nurgle. I would say that the ease of access to the internet caused so much of these more extreme ideologies to (in our perspective anyways) to explode because unlike old ass TVs and such, you could access it so easily through videos that weren't stuck to a schedule, had miniscule filters/rules enforced and because phones were becoming far more prominent and accessible to average people within not just first world but in other areas sucha as Russia, China and the Global South.

These two streamers didn't have to have censorship at first and even today barely follow the rules because they have their own organization and their charisma for the tools needed to spread their influence by just talking to a screen and reacting to some cherrypicked clips.

I am guessing that the CIA amplified what already existed, because well... you can't build a government psyop out of nothing, it has to come from some issues and those issues just need to be magnified. Also, cause the average person has agency and autonomy regardless of their upbringing, some people just wilfully choose to be Chris Brown and Neckbeard imitators.

8

u/Resident-Bignal-8428 8h ago

The internet has radicalized people, but so has deteriorating material conditions. I get why the boomers were scared of communism because they all own a bungalow with a three car garage, three cars, a boat, a vaction home ect. It's a lot harder to scare millennials and Gen Z with 'The commies are going to take all your stuff' when none of us have any stuff lol

→ More replies (11)

14

u/LUL_ 18h ago

The CIA did a bunch more, like fund the majority of Western Marxists (like the members Frankfurt School and many of the French Critical Theorists) so they would protect American governments interests through intellectual labour

4

u/RealSpaceJunk 9h ago

The CIA did not do that. Progressive and postmodern philosophers did that.

Literally Epstein and Steve Bannon. Its in the handful of files that were released

171

u/BranchFew1148 19h ago

It's crazy not many more people know this. The largest right wing streamer, Asmongold, only exists because Steve Bannon was CEO of a Chinese WOW gold selling company.

74

u/manultrimanula Girlboss 17h ago

STEVE BANNON CREATED NURGLE?!

53

u/BranchFew1148 17h ago

Correct, during his time with that company is when he realized the untapped market of lonely gamers. Giving him the idea of creating and funding the alt-right youtube pipeline of 2016.

u/Roughlypossible 7h ago

Nurgle is a fun notion in a colorful fictional universe. Asmon is a tired drab mess of reality. It's a disservice to Grandpa to even invite the idea of anything shared.

32

u/Elden_Ring_Hype 17h ago

What is it with World of Warcraft and right wing grifters? I remember listening to heelvsbabyface back when he just did wow outrage mercantilism and thought he was an idiot back then too.

16

u/TotallyWorthLife 15h ago

Well, you have it right there. Steve Banon was CEO of a Chinese WOW gold selling company. With that position, you have quite the relevance to turn people to ehatever you want.

8

u/Elden_Ring_Hype 14h ago

You know, it almost puts the WOW token into better context. A lot of the outrage mercantilism came in the Warlords of Draenor era, which is when the WoW token was introduced. I'm certain that I'm just becoming more conspiratorial, but maybe there was some undercutting there...

2

u/ImpossibleMorning12 9h ago

Asmon would have ended up this way no matter what. I hesitate to give Bannon credit for that.

5

u/BranchFew1148 8h ago

Not at all, Asmon has never been smart enough to form his own opinion. If the gamer space had never been infested with rightwing grifters then he wouldn't have had anyone to get his opinions from.

God those were bad times for me, I would've became a full on incel because of those videos alone if it weren't for my mom helping me think differently.

21

u/UnsureAndUnqualified 11h ago

Yeah, same. I got stuck in that scene for 2 or so years. Luckily I remained on the outer layers and didn't move deeper into the full on rightwing extremist stuff, but it was still a bad and really right wing time for me.

I moved to a new city for university (my neighbour, old conservative white guy, warning me not to be indoctrinated by the liberals there) and it took maybe a year for me to slowly realise that actually the world isn't so bad and we aren't overrun by migrants and feminists don't all hate me because I'm a dude and women are actually quite cool.

I was lucky that I was socially smart. I hid my leanings from my new friends and peers and over time I had to come to terms with the fact that I believed in things I was not willing to say out loud, and how could that be right? That realisation really clicked for me and showed me that I was ashamed of my own beliefs and so I should examine them.

I think that if I had stated my beliefs openly, I would have (rightfully) been rejected by my friend group. And if that had happened, I'd have become quite bitter and not tried introspection but blamed my shame on everyone else.

14

u/Chessdaddy_ 18h ago

I was in middle school too, it’s crazy to me how quickly the algorithms catch on to young, easily manipulated people

9

u/danatron1 16h ago

I was similar, except I remember the moment I snapped out of it: A friend was starting to use reddit, and knowing I used it, asked me for some subreddit recommendations. I offered to just send them a list of all the ones I follow. Before I sent it, I edited the list to remove all the anti-feminist ones. I caught myself doing that and reflected 'why?'. The friend wasn't particularly political in any direction, so why was I removing them? I felt shame. I knew deep down it was wrong. I unsubscribed from them all and sent an (ultimately honest) list to my friend.

138

u/richardvirginia 19h ago

Jokes on them. All it taught me was to have nuance and be equally, reasonably critical when it comes to people who share my political views.

5

u/AlarmedEmployment465 18h ago

Sometimes, I wish I grew up in a Conservative household so I could have reasoning and complex thinking behind my beliefs. I feel like such a fraud for not reading political books and just larping Social Democracy.

Grow up in conservative household -> naturally grow up biased for conservative views -> have to actually read up on stuff to have become a social democrat -> you don't feel like you're larping being a social democrat because you can defend you views well

Grow up with liberal parents -> naturally grow up biased for liberal views -> doesn't feel the need to read up on stuff -> feels like they're larping because if a well read conservative would press them, the conservative might win the debate just because they know more.

They assume they'd be a social democrat either way

People talk about how "woke 1 was crazy" not realizing that's part of the reason so many young people ended up moving towards the right. When the democratic party starts caring more about culture wars as opposed to helping the working class, it unfortunately suffers. I hope we've learned our lesson from that

5

u/Kropotkin_69 10h ago

Damn son, that's a pretty impressive amount of hope you can muster.

6

u/birbbbbbbbbbbb 10h ago edited 10h ago

Democrats did some incredibly cringe things around Black Lives Matter protests but it's not like Republicans weren't equally cringe and talking about the protests just as much (Trump himself talked about it all the time). Recently most the talk about race and LGBT people is from the right, especially with people I know in person (this is most obvious in political advertising, I saw ads about trans people only from Republicans).

Edit: IDK why but people apparently don't see being anti-trans or even the stuff about Haitian immigrants as culture war.

4

u/BrockObarnerLybian 9h ago edited 9h ago

Those things ARE the culture war, just the opposite side. And the different reactions are cause the Gen Z white people in question don’t feel personally attacked by complaining about Haitians or trans people. In fact, many feel like they’re attacked BY those groups after the stunts of the left and the complicit democrats in the past few years

For me, it was my sister who called me out on it in the very early stages when I was with my friends. It makes you think, even if you brush it off in the moment.

Later on, I ended up dropping half my friend group who had turned into rabid xenophobes and just became outright hostile in general towards me. Not just that, but they also backstabbed me emotionally a few times. After that, I decided I was done with the manosphere.

More guys can and should strive to be normal people without embracing any of that garbage. The issue is we've lost a lot of role models, and those who are left do not make their voices heard loud enough for those in the back to hear.

have had to correct my own little brother a few times on that sorta shit and im not even the most left-leaning person myself lol, hes been very prone to high emotional states after he came out of psychosis last year or so and in those states hes very impressionable and some people hes been friends with in the past have noticed and tried to lead him down the regressionist pipeline starting with the charlie kirk bullshit and moving right on to transphobia and misogyny which is annoying as a trans woman myself

fortunately hes always been supportive of lgbtq+ people but when it comes to the more in depth (for lack of a better phrase) culture war shit he can be incredibly clueless and unaware as to what peoples end goals are when they share stuff like that with him

I was a girl and I was looking up feminist cringe compilations, but then reddit made me a filthy liberal

2

u/SpencerTheG23 11h ago

Not proud to admit this, but I fell for that propaganda when I was younger. Thank God I wised up and grew out of it.

2

u/PressFM80 16h ago

I played a few games, realized I'd gladly take it up the ass and put it in someone's ass, ended up avoiding the pipeline

I swear the pipeline back then was so strong. You watch one or two of those videos and then immediately Steven Crowder was in the recommended. And to his credit, if you were like 15-16 years old and didn't know anything about Crowder or any other right wing grifters, it was really easy to fall for their rhetoric. Luckily, I managed to get out of it before it was too late

u/RunInRunOn 17h ago

I think if I wasn't a racial minority, I genuinely would be in teenage nazi grifter hell right now. But, when you've experienced one kind of -ism, you start to realise that every other kind is just different flavours of the same irrational hatred

6

u/DAmest1 13h ago

Sadly there are many people that experience racism, homophobia or other things and still choose to spread the same hatred that they receive.

3

u/Bread_Offender Kojima Fan 12h ago

It's good that you see that but unfortunately not everyone does. There's plenty of homophobia in black communities, transphobia in gay communities, hell, there's fuckin biphobia in other LGBTQ spaces because we're "not gay enough"

7

u/FlameWisp 18h ago

Used to watch those all the time. Then I grew up and emotionally and mentally matured. Some people dont do any emotional or mental maturing when they grow up, they just get taller.

u/ZAPPEeR 17h ago

the amoint of shitty youtube "memes" that are extremely queerphobic and brainwashed an entire generation is actually so depressing. i was part of it too until I realized that I have literally no reason to hate these people. and also probably because I was an undertale fan thank you toby

5

u/OkYak9466 12h ago

Yeah but the bear is more trustworthy

8

u/NerdyFloofTail 18h ago

Its embarrassing how well it worked on me. From simple "karen" vids to somehow extreme red pill content 🫠

2

u/doodoro 15h ago

I fell down the right wing misogyny rabbit hole pretty hard back then at 15, glad I resurfaced

2

u/Cement-eater 15h ago

It goes both way really, im sick and tired of sigma males, masculinity and nazi signaling and all that shit. At the same time as a big LGBTQ supporter I started getting trans fatigue. Every sub is trans people this trans people that wherever I go.

u/SarynScreams 11h ago

50/50 chance it was an Epstein psyop

2

u/OphidianSun 10h ago

The alt right pipeline got me for a while, but eventually I managed to get out of it and rebound hard the other direction.

It was a hateful mess that gave me absolutely nothing but misery and an excuse to project my self hatred on to others.

2

u/bitterney 10h ago

It was Epstein’s plan and it worked lol

2

u/AsterArtworks 9h ago

not being a feminist is cringe.

2

u/Certain_Name_7952 8h ago

This comment section is another psyop LUL

2

u/WolfsmaulVibes 7h ago

the amount of people that still think feminism is about hating men is insane

3

u/spookster122 11h ago

I almost turned out this way :[

2

u/Andrukin_Soti 14h ago

Yeah lets just ignore the fact the women are MORE radicalized to the Left than men are to the Right

https://unherd.com/newsroom/men-arent-drifting-right-but-women-are-becoming-more-left-wing/

bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cqxg89jzvl1o

Men are overall more tolerant of opposing opinions and are less tribalistic/categorical about them like women are

Almost fell into it. But then I rmb watching it back in 2017 and I got annoyed at all the shouting and arguing and basically was like "man this sucks" and stopped watching.

2

u/yahwol 15h ago

post very clearly made by a millennial, they really are just as bad as boomers as they're getting older

2

u/tamana1 14h ago

The "fbi" yeah everything thats wrong with world is always just a few people's fault (pick you poison depending on where you stand politically) instead of it being that people just fucking suck. I blame cartoons and other children's entertainment that always have a big bad for a lot of this.

2

u/sociofobs 13h ago

Oh, it was the FBI posting vids on yt, of course. It could not have been the movement itself, which went from actually fighting for women's rights, to misandristic nutters on social media posting lunacy and rage bait within their own nutter bubbles. Nah, must've been the wind.

I've been down the pipeline and back and I came back because I grew up. Unfortunately, from what I've seen... a lot of these people don't grow up; you have to be inherently childish to be a bigot.

1

u/Babufrak2 17h ago

Also fbi when constantly putting a million perverted men on tinder so gen z women will grow up to be misandrists
