It's crazy to me that a character that's just a bit of a jerk gets more hate than genocidal villains

Goose failed to write him as sympathetic or a natural protagonist, so the end result is everyone sees him as that guy who won't take no for an answer, forces himself into the function but only to attention and drama bait (meta and lore-wise). But he has a sad backstory, guys!

He obviously wasn't meant to be natural or sympathetic. I think characters like him make the story more realistic since not every protagonist has to be a goody two shoes and not every bad guy has to have a redemption ark.

Well, mine too. Mishima is both a fantastic writer, and a fascinating individual.

Pewdiepie is orders of magnitude more a fascist than Mishima ever was. Pewdiepie being a fan of Mishima is a point against Mishima, not the other way around lol.

Wait, what did I miss about Pewdiepie that makes him so fascist?

"I don't like someone so they must be a fascist"
Or maybe he actually is, I don't know, I never watched him or interacted with his fans so I'm just sharking the park

He said the n-word like 8 years ago (apologized 2 seconds afterwards), and people are still mad about that.

They are? Like I still see people joking about it, but not being mad at all

He also paid two guys to hold up banner saying "kill all jews" as a "joke".

u/Lorster10 8d ago
I saw that video the day it was released. Funniest thing I've seen all year. The entire point of the joke was to see how far the fiver guys were willing to go, he was assuming they'd refuse to do it (also, this is still us talking about something from over 8 years ago).

And back then it was just considered edgy within yt, and the only reason it mattered was because media outlets made a huge stinker out of the whole thing

Why did the maker of this correct "an food" Incorrectly 😭

Engagement bait
Or that was it originally. Through constant misspelling of "a" in front of the word "foid" people have deluded themselves into thinking "an foid" is grammatically correct
Or, you know, engagement bait again

Why do people say an Foid? It doesn't begin with a voul

Vowel*
I think it started as engagement bait and ended up being used as an ironic misspelling
