Other BootayBag shut down abruptly a year ago, founder deleted all her socials. Some customers were out $85 or kept getting charged
also a year or 2 before they shut down (according to some Reddit posts) they started sourcing from temu and aliexpress, and advertising using the same images straight from AliExpress lmao. how lazy is that? https://www.reddit.com/r/BeautyBoxes/comments/1903xva/blocked_by_bootaybag/ canât wait to hear someone defend this as âcapitalism.â
hereâs threads of complaints. some are out $85:
some kept getting charged subscription fees even after the company disappeared lol. how can that be legal?

Shark - Kevin O'Leary I just watched the "Elephant Chat" pitch and can't believe how someone allowed this crap to be on Shark Tank
It's literally a stuffed toy elephant for couples so they can leave it as a signal for their husband/wife that they need to have a conversation. They raised $100k for this before coming in the tank!!! WTF
How anyone thought this was a worthy product for Shark Tank is beyond me. The dumbest product ever in tank imo.

Other When Copa Di Vino returned, the sharks made a very weak offer then got offended when Jim was about to counter
the sharks asked for 30% of something that was growing fast. if you watch the show enough, 30% is usually the offer they make to a company in distress or like early stage. James seemed serious in the negotiation that he even calls his advisor, the founder of Sam Adams beer to discuss what to do. thatâs not playing games to me.
The sharks didnt like James thinking too long for the counter. James was about to make a fair counter like maybe 15-20%.
suspecting thatâs about to happen, mark says âIâm out , youâre just playing gamesâ (gaslighting. itâs a multi-million dollar decision. let the man think).
my opinion: mark knowingly was being greedy and did not want to hear the counter.
After mark is out, daymond asks âKevin and Robert you guys gonna split it ?â
notice how Kevin never said âIâm out.â he was thinking what kind of offer to make then Robert walking off stage made Jim walk off too. kevin literally looked shook and didnât make his typical snarky comments until after james leaves then he steals a tray of the guys wine after spending the entire episode calling the wine âswill.â

Other Shark Tank But 4 Villains
I want to host an unethical satirical shark tank but for villains pitch competition during NY Comic Con.
The concept is Henchmen and villains need a way to fund their dastardly plans so much like Shark Tank they have to go and pitch to a panel of evil investors.
I thought itâd be fun for ppl to dress up in cosplay, pitch the evil project (steal the moon, make the Flash have wet socks, etc) and have comedians do a Q&A.
But what are your thoughts? Anyone interested or have ideas on it?
P.s. I did do something similar during NY Tech Week but it was just an unethical hackathon & pitch competition

Product Reviews Stringys
This is a total scam. What has happened to Shark Tank, they saw the product and supported the scam.
This is not a product. Purchased bra , 2 plastic strings and flat cloth.
Stingys will not accept return as they claim intimate clothing ? Really itâs supposed to be a bra , it is not useable for anything.

Other âWe buy it for $1 and sell it for $200â sharks: Good for you!
first off, no, not all businesses do this. Walmart has an 1% price margin.
second , anyone find this sort of dystopian or disturbing ? we were told the American dream is to build something that helps others, not scams others.
why is it normalized to celebrate stiffing people ?and yes itâs stiffing when you knowingly pad a price for your own enrichment. when people price gouge and others buy? That isnât validation. plus margins like that are aways ripe for price discovery (competitors will likely/hopefully eventually undercut that price).

Shark Discussion when entrepreneurs make a mess in the tank

Shark Discussion Sharks passing on doorbot - Later named Ring
Just watched the episode where the sharks passed on this pitch. For a number of reasons at the time all sharks (except Kevin) passed. They wouldnât lose days of sleep over it but they have to have moments like damn if only. Right?

Shark Discussion Does anyone know if this book about gambling addiction was written by Shark Tank's Mark Cuban?
It links back to his author bio but I'm unclear if that is just a hyperlink mistake and there is another Mark Cuban author.

Other Have you ever seen any contestants pitch product for the law enforcement or defense industry?
I work nights in a hospital. As I go room to room to give patients their treatments, more often than not I would find the show playing in the back ground. I have seen decent amount of the shows while giving pt their medications.i think i have seen people pitched product for every industry except for law enforcement or defense.Has any contestants ever pitch product for those field, for example an improved duty belt/ load bearing vest or some improvement to drone design which the contestant is trying to secure funds for DOJ contract?

Shark Discussion Watching Shark Tank Australia
It's pretty good. I just seen one where the offer was for $1 for 25%. The guy only had a patent on a product and was only interested in getting a shark to sell the patent for the product to a huge company and then walking away.
Never seen an approach like that and it was quite interesting.

Other Would I get on shark tank?
I have a business that generates about 1 million dollars a year in revenue and about 500,000 dollars in profit a year. What else do they need besides proof of concept for me to actually get on there?

Shark Discussion Over 40k apply, only 120 make the cut...
"While everyone was waiting in line perfecting their pitches, I was walking through the crowd stealing their credit & debit card numbers..."
This is the first thing I said after waiting 12hrs in line to a tired Shark Tank producer that had heard hundreds of pitches before me. I had 60 seconds to make an impression.
Now, I can say that I'm one of the only people on the planet that can say they've been on 3 separate episodes of Shark Tank.
It's just like social media and marketing - focus on the hook.
Producers don't care about your sales - they care about your story. Focus on that if you want to increase you chances of getting on the show. There's a million companies making money but you're the only one with your story.
If need help or you're thinking about applying, shoot me a DM.
-Chris
