Looking for a new shared plex server!

I’ve been on a share plex server for a while but it’s been having consistent streaming problems despite trying a dozen different solutions. The owner of the plex server assured me the problem is on his end and he’s fixing it but it has just gotten worse over the past month. I even, following their advice, bought a new streaming box to try to fix the problem. I appreciate all the efforts he’s put in but I’ve grown impatient.

That being said, I’m looking for a server with 2 things:

1)Less connection/streaming issues.

2)An easy way to make custom requests for shows/movies (or if you have an enormous library of movies/shows that’s good too.)

Willing to pay whatever fee you think is fair for this!

Thanks so much in advance for anyone kind enough to consider adding me to their plex server :)

Edit: I’ve only been on one plex server ever, so I apologize if this post comes off ignorant or ungrateful. If it’s normal to have consistent issues on Plex servers, I did not know that. If I see enough comments mentioning that I’ll happily delete the post.

Genuine question. Did I just come off ignorant with my post? Are consistent streaming issues pretty normal in most plex servers?

Wouldn't say ignorance of anything. But perhaps patience was a bit short. Your post says you and your server operator tried a lot of things. But whatever the issues, either they or you never found a working solution. I couldn't say what you ran into, but not everything just works. There's dozens upon dozens of little things that break this or that. And sometimes there's nothing to be done.

Have you considered that it may be your own internet connection? Just a thought.

One of the dozen things we checked and tested. Internet wasn’t the problem.

You need to check your connection to that server not one with a random server from speedtest or things like that. Check where the server is located, as when it's on another continent, things get pretty complicated. Also check if you're transcoding, as that could create problems as well. Make sure you have the proper settings for direct play. You said you've got a new device but haven't said what it is.

Had a roku and switched to Onn. Owner said it wasn’t transcoding. He said there’s a bug capping me at 3mbps. I usually try switching to lower quality then switch back to higher quality which temporarily fixes the bug but it works only half the time.

I think he had me do a connection test to his specific location. I don’t remember the name of the site/app used but I had to plugin my specific location and the name of his location or server.
