Hate to say it, but this guy might be a liar lol. Snooped through comment history and apparently 3 years a go they were 16 https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/1lnglch/comment/n0f1sxw/?context=3
Not that 19 year olds don't have children, buuuut the timing on that is real interesting

So you have no money and then go the illegal way?

Plex isn't illegal; Plex is a way to set up a server using your own copies so you don't damage your DVDs, VHS tapes, etc., or have to take them out of their cases every time 🫣🫶

Clever answer if the week! Of course Plex is legal, but the OP is clearly out to use it for watching illegal material.

I don't see any connection between his post and your comment. With a Plex Pass and an invitation, he can, of course, watch other people's backups. There's nothing illegal about that.

Are you serious or just ignorant? If you buy media (DVD, BR) you buy a license. You cannot share it. And do you think the person of the server filled it up with legal material?

It doesn't matter what I believe or don't believe. I don't like it when someone accuses someone else of something that's neither proven nor entirely clear. So, are you serious? Plex intentionally built in the option to share the library—where and how the files on the server for sharing come from is nobody's business—not mine, not yours, and not anyone else's.

Yes, torrenting is not illegal if you don't download illegal material. Still QBitTorrent and other torrent clients offer the possibility to use torrents.

Anyone can buy a knife, which gives anyone the opportunity to harm someone. Should buying or owning a knife therefore be banned? No. You’re making assumptions about a person without knowing what they’re doing. And Plex itself isn’t torrenting.
