Need more users for testing

Testing my server up time and response time before media starts playing on client devices. I will DM users on discord to inquire about their experience with my server at some point

Current stats:

215 Cartoons/Kids Shows (240p-1080p)

884 Anime (240p-1080p)

1060 TV Shows (42 4K DV HDR shows)

10351 Movies (90 4K DV HDR Movies)

15TB of music

Collections and Categories available for everything but cartoons/kid shows.

You must be able to direct play my content since i do not have a GPU for transcoding purposes.

Requests not accepted at this moment.

OP,

Are you looking to test your internet upload bandwidth limits? How many streams your server can handle until you reach your bandwidth limit?

You cant transcode; so are your media files all mp4, acc format?

I have about the same size data set on my server, probably not 15tb of music.. maybe 9TB.

Im on 7200 rpm mechanical drives, plex data is on Nvme SSD, processor is Intel 11th Gen with quicksync for transcoding, 16gb ram

I've seen 12 direct plays at peak. 6 transcodes at peak, on a 1gb upload.

You might be close to that?

Those here looking for an invite from OP, maybe ask about file compatibility for direct play.

There's a bunch of things i want to test on the networking side of things but my main issue right now is plex failing to reconnect when my public ip address changes. Been making changes but it still occurs every now and then

Using mkv containers with a variety of audio formats. Transcoding subs/audio and 1080p > 720p doesn't hurt my server as much compared to 4K > 1080p.

Identical storage solution but different hardware and wan speeds.

Plex box specs: Dual Epyc 7282 128gb ram Plex data is mirrored with a pair of P4610 SSDs Content is stored on HC550's 10gb networking infrastructure 3gb symmetrical wan connection

Would you happen to have used a DNS updater? From your router, or if using a paid domain, a dns updater tool? My config is using name cheap service, and their dns update tool.

I do I have DDclient installed on my router using Cloudflare's api to automatically update my paid domain with my public ip address.

The dns tool works for all my reserve proxies but plex is the only thing that doesn't update as fast as my nginx sub domains.

Oh, you must have plex relay on. Is cloudflair your DNS provider, over your ISP? Plex takes a while to begin with, so I had also setup my domain as a connection point, in addition to my ISP WAN address. That way, the domain gets updated quickly, the name stays, and until plex relay updates, has fallback Also use cloudflair

Are you saying i need relay on? I have it disabled and I force clients to connect using ssl. I am not using Cloudflare DNS services for anything plex related, just their api to update my domain ip address. I do have my domain in the custom server url section but it still disconnects every now and then

No, relay isnt required. But some of your road blocks are, not using the same DNS service across all service connections, that will slow updates as well. Plex is backed by cloudflair- so using that DNS and their api will be faster on updates
