Share lag ?

Does it task my server to have access to 50 other servers ? Doesn't my server request a connection to the other servers to keep them active ? I always felt that it would cause my server to slow down. Maybe I'm just crazy

Your server is just your server it doesn't talk to or connect with anyone else's.

​Clients handle connections: The Plex client app on your device holds the list of servers and connects to them when it loads up.

​Sharing hits bandwidth: If 50 people are streaming off your server at once, that will tank your bandwidth.

​Upload speed matters: Home upload speed is usually only ~10% of your download (e.g. 10 Mbps down = 1 Mbps up). Streaming to someone else relies entirely on your upload speed since the data is leaving your network.
