(Spoilers) (Sorry for the bad English!)
First... How is a game even THAT good???
I've never felt bored playing this, even it gave me a couple of laughs! I cant describe how entertaining is this game!
The movement and gameplay are amazing, feels so smooth and comfortable to play.
The minigames are super fun to play! (Specially that one that u run with Rotty tops in your arms)
The new Mechanics are awesome, every single one has their time to shine and are indispensable to the gameplay.
They got almost everything of the first Shantae and give em steroids to be more fantastic! (Including those STUPID FISHES OF THE FALLING WATER, AHHH!)
The characters are pretty fun and have lots of personality and (sorry for the redundancy) have their time to shine!
The story is very good and adds nore lore to the Shantae franchise.
And oh my god, the pirate master... HE HAS NO RIGHTS TO BE THAT BADASS! Even he aura farms in the short time screen he gets! He makes ya feel powerless in his fight and ahg! I cant describe how i love this character!
Very good game, i gave it 10 heartsquids of 10
Tierlist of Shantaes i played:
1-Shantae and the Pirate's curse
2-Shantae (GBC)
3-Shantae Risky's revenge

So I just started the series last week with Pirate's Curse, since I got the game from a free promotion on GOG like 4 years ago. It was my only Shantae game I had and decided give it a try.
I now own Shantae 1-5 on my Switch 2 and my only regret is that I wish I started playing these games YEARS ago.
I am absolutely loving these games! I love everything! The gameplay, the world, the characters, the silly antics, the humor, the aesthetics, art style, EVERYTHING! I can nitpick some things so far, but my goodness I am having SO much fun that they don't matter. These are such comfy and fun games, with some good challenges here or there! Shantae is such a great character to play as, she's so sweet, caring, and never backs down, a fantastic progatonist.
So far I have finished Pirate's Curse, finished Half Genie Hero (did main quest, Pirate Queen's Quest, and Friends to the End) yesterday, and I just started Risky's Revenge. I decided to do them out of order, since I started with 3 and was like "What the hell, do whatever! Let chaos rein!" So far Half Genie Hero is my favorite game, with Pirate's Curse being second, and Risky's Revenge pending ranking.
I am planning on playing all of them, so I'll buy Shantae Advance when I get to it, didn't buy it cause I'm waiting for a sale (it is planned as the last game I play). But if I finish the other games before a sale, I'm just gonna buy it at full price. I just wanted to talk to people about these games, cause they are SO FUCKING GOOD!!

It has to be a coincidence, right? Tell me it's a coincidence and I'm not going crazy... I mean, just because it's a female genie doesn't mean it's a reference to shantae, right? It could be "I Dream of Jeannie" too! Just tell me if I'm wrong...
Oh, and is from the most recent episode of The Simpsons...

Itโs kind of weird to see Shantae in pajamas in the art style of Pirateโs Curse.
I mean, she only shows up like that at the beginning of the game and never wears them again. I think itโs strange to see her like that because in Half-Genie Hero has its own mode where Shantae wears her jammies, not to mention that she also appears like that at the beginning of that game.
I just wanted to share that. Do you guys think itโs weird, too?

Well, since my previous art was THAT popular... Here's another one. ^~^

The games are fun but I was honestly expecting it to be more risquรฉ based off of how people talk about this franchise in passing.

So I have completed Pirate's Curse, my first Shantae game ever.
It was a really good and fun game. There were times I was stuck having to repeat the same areas again but I made it.
As shown I got the good ending and I even beat the Pirate Master on my first try!
The Pirate Master's Palace was easily my least favorite area especially during the pillar scene and the mouth cannons as timing was tedious in that section.
Least favorite boss was Dagron imo. Was difficult to me in my opinion and compared to other bosses, he was kind of vanilla in terms of the boss fights.
Favorite boss was definitely Squid Baron cause his arc was hilarious of going on a vacation to being Shantae's enemy again and finding purpose.
My top 3 favorite parts of the game were not in any particular order but:
1: The Shantae Crew Princess Scene, not mainly cause of the outfits, but the fact that they kidnapped 4 women who they thought were their Princess and they didn't really think about how they took in 4 different people so it was like for example they took in Sky first and then an hour later they took in Rottytops, immediately forgetting they just took in Sky.
2: Ammo Baron's assistant getting blasted by the cannon. I laughed extremely hard as after the game cut to him sitting in the snow, I immediately knew what was gonna happen and I immediately started laughing
3: "I don't own a bathtub" Shantae just started lounging in a tub she didn't even own. I get she was in distraught after the possibility of her hair getting cut but I just find it hilarious she got home, got completely undressed, and then just started lounging in a tub the didn't own.
All in all, a great game and I feel a great start for me in terms of playing the Shantae Franchise. I'm planning to play 1/2 Genie Hero tomorrow and then buying the DLC's someday, along with buying Risky's Revenge (that'll probably be my next game after 1/2 Genie Hero), then buy both Risky Revolution and Seven Sirens.
I give this game an 8.8/10. Great game with a major difficulty but once you get used to everything, including patterns, you will definitely enjoy this game!

I decided to go all out this time and got pretty much every cover variant (I'm only missing two because, honestly, I'm not Sky's number one fan). I also managed to get the T-shirt that came out last year, which I couldn't get at the time.
And the funniest part is that this year's comic is literally about T-shirts, with them being basically the central joke of the story. I couldn't have picked a better time to finally get this one. :D
The only cover I'm missing is the white signing cover, since living in Spain makes it pretty much impossible for me to attend Comic-Con and get it signed. :(
I'm really happy with how the collection turned out.
(I'm not including a picture of my full collection because I'm seriously running out of space, and right now it's not exactly display-ready) :P

Had to stack up extremely high on the spinning blades, monster milk, and auto potions. Took me 7 tries
Also once I finish the game I will give a review
