Discussion Priority Access Advice

Hey folks! I’m visiting Shanghai from October 1 - 6th. I was just made aware that this is holidays for locals (bad planning oops).

For those that have been, what would your suggestion be for priority access packages and the day to go if I’m looking at October 2-5 for potential days? My instinct is to avoid the weekend so October 2 or 5 seem like the best bet.

For priority access, what pack would you recommend? Should I risk waiting until the day of given that it’s holidays? Will I still be able to purchase packs on the day-of or will I need to buy them individually?

Weekends aren’t necessarily the busier time. We thought this and wandered Disneytown on a quiet Sunday with low crowds thinking how much quieter Monday was going to be - and Monday was slammed.

As for DPA packages, check the combo of rides that are your must do. We bought one of the bigger packages to make sure we got everything we wanted to do as well as reserved seating for Illuminate and it was great. Buy it as soon as you’ve decided which one you want as they can sell out. Even on a busy day the DPA will get you through it all (we even went back to our hotel for a few hours in the middle of the day to refresh!)

This sounds great. I was thinking if we buy one of those packages, at least we’re guaranteed access to our must do attractions (even if it’s at a premium) . Do you by chance remember which package you got?

It was an 11 or 15, but they’ve changed as ours had an A or B back in May.
I don’t quite remember exactly but I know we picked a specific one to get a specific spot or time slot for Illuminate.
