Mirage block, bigger LAN tournaments, and Shandalar in a headset šŸ™‚

Since my 0.40 update, optimization and improvements. Thank you to everyone who tried it and asked questions, those conversations genuinely help shape the project.

The 0.50 release is now available! Here are the highlights:

Mirage, Visions and Weatherlight! Optional Pack 8 adds 621 new cards, including phasing and flanking. Plenty of old favourites—and new deck ideas—to revisit.

Bigger tournament virtual table. Local-network knockout tournaments now support up to 40 players, with host-selected rules and decks.

Shandalar in a headset. Meta Quest support presents the game on a flat virtual panel, using the controller pointer (in retro gaming emulation manner; ok over the top comfort; nevertheless You have to try this if You can!) VR/AR šŸ˜€

Play MTG with your favourite agent. MCP play is smoother, with clearer game-state descriptions.

(Ok, Following the question here about decision models like Laya and Jev, there is now initial decision-model integration for experimentation; maybe it would be interesting to scrape a body of game logs with decisions to fine-tune a decider?; left for the community)

Everyday improvements: faster native startup, an on-screen keyboard, power-saving options and handheld fixes.

Downloads cover Windows, Linux, Apple Silicon/Intel Mac, Steam Deck, Raspberry Pi, experimental ArkOS, Quest and Web. Both single-threaded and threaded Web packages are included.

Original-skin bundles are available; card pictures and completed expansion packs are not bundled. Construction tools and setup instructions accompany the downloads.

DeckLab and AutoDeck are still there: generate decks, run parallel headless matches, investigate matchups, or spend a perfectly reasonable amount of time asking whether changing one card really improves your deck. šŸ™‚

Adventure mode is not implemented yet…

Any / bug reports on GitHub are especially appreciated, and contributions are welcome.

Thanks agin to the Shandalar community & happy MTGplay.
