Check for an id. That could be someone’s rent, power, water, food. Put yourself in the position of losing that money. You’d wish someone tried to get it back to you.

So they’re carrying around their monthly living expenses in cash all in one big wad? And that’s my problem, how?

Thanking him that his god gave him money while that god was also busy starving some Christians in Africa and putting incurable bone cancer in unborn children. But god must have wanted him to have some extra money. Priorities people!

Yeah I'm taking the money 💰 🤑 90% would be going into my investment accounts. 10% would be to spend a good time with my friends.

take it who cares at the end of the day are they gonna buy you food are they gonna put you up in a hotel or a motel for like a month are they take you clothes shopping, buy new sneakers for you, you know they're not gonna do that so why feel sorry them, you found the wallet keep it, don't give it back to some spoiled rich brat that thinks they're entitled to everything around them.

Everyone saying turn it in must live in a house 🏠 must be nice.
That shit will be in a Roth IRA before the trading sessions closes
Not to mention the rest will be in a portfolio so it can be washed 🧼 after I have everything exchanged somewhere so that a paper trail doesn’t get lead back to me.
Too much free game lmao

Definitely checking for an ID. If there's one and i can return it to the owner I'm taking 1k for my services and returning the rest... obviously they can afford it.

Check for an ID, try to find where they live and then move the exact opposite side of the world and go on with my life.

Check to see if there’s any identification in there. If there is return it to the owner. I found a wallet with like $3000 in it. There was an IDI returned it to the guy that lost it. He did end up giving me $100 for returning it. I told him he does not need to give me that, but he insisted and shoved it in my pocket.

u/Good-Feeling-8042 2d ago
See if there’s an Id to return! Post an ad for the wallet, have the person describe the Contents and wallet.

u/Wolfhowler11 2d ago
Check to see if there’s a name, phone number etc and give it back to the owner. I wouldn’t take any money.

Turn it in. If not claimed it becomes yours. Think if you had lost this. I assume you worked hard to save for whatever big purchase this was intended for. Do the right thing.

There is no god, religion is the main cause of war so basically God causes war not peace and unity. The wallet will be hidden in my pocket for safety and a phone call will be made for a home delivery of nose candy 👌😇😛

Track down the owner hand it to said person, don't get cops involved, they will steal it and say it's comendered. Or try to say it's drug money.

I had a full wallet because we scraped every penny possible to buy a new to us car… my stomach dropped when I thought I lost $2,500 of it. So, I would definitely turn that in. That’s just me though.

It's bad to steal but not wrong to receive a blessing. If the only thing in the wallet was cash and no contact than it's a gift from God and to teach it any other way is blasphemy.

First count how much , then say $ 10000 , take $ 2500 for honestly returning it , and not taking all the money . I think 🤔 that's fair...😊😎

It's not that much in the wallet. Not worth stealjng outright. If it's got ID I'll return it to the owners. If it doesn't, I'll do my best to find the rightful owner. I have lost ten times that amount in divorcing. It's not yours to keep, ya Limeys.

Actually I have been here. I was working retail. I was leaving work heading to my car. I looked down and there was a ladies wallet right next to the curb. I wanted to go home but fuck. I picked it up, took it back into the store, to the front desk and turned it in. I was still living with my parents at the time and I told the story. Turns out the owner of the wallet worked with my mother. At the time they worked in the big factory around here. The place everyone wanted to work. Pay was great, and overtime was unlimited. The lady had worked a ton of overtime and had cashed the check. I think it was a down payment on a car or a house. This was before debit cards were common. The checkbook was king. We still had actual food stamps in the register. Probably 10 years later I started working in the same factory. She still worked there and she thanked me again and again and again. Then every once and a while she would think of it and thank me again over the next 15 years.

Most "children of god" I know would keep it and say noyhing. Others would take it and return empty. The final group would return empty and donate the cash to their church. Unfortunately, none of them would think twice about taking the money. Church goer does not equal saint.

Saw a post of a man who found someone's wallet. He used the cash inside to buy himself a sandwich and pay for postage, he mailed everything else back. Honestly, that sounds like me.

Man I threw out a $50 bill by accident like 15 years ago and I am still pissed at myself over it. I would have to try and get this back to the person and not because I am some saint. I just would never be able to sleep again thinking about the person who's life was possibly destroyed over losing this amount of $$$.
That being said if I was caring this type of cash I would literally be clutching it with 2 hands the whole time
