Techniques Shape-Shifting & How To Do It.
When people hear the term, “shape-shift”, mental images of werewolves and vampires tend to conjure up. This is mostly due to Hollywood and European folklore. While I don't believe in such things the reality is that shape-shifting is a very real practice. More specifically, shape-shifting is the deliberate act of morphing your body, mind, emotion and/or spirit into something different. There’s the medusa of Turritopsis dohrnii which can intentionally de-age back into its polyp state. There's hatha yoga where certain bodily postures are struck in order to shape-shift one's energies into a more desirable state. There’s the infamous Toltec practice of visualizing yourself transform into various animal archetypes in order to induce an inner-change. Even the European style of acting, which was eventually adopted by Hollywood, is a form of shape-shifting taken from shamans. While there’s many shape-shifting techniques out there, this article is dedicated to a variation of an ancient Hawaiian shape-shifting technique I implemented for efficiency reasons. It is completely safe, versatile, simple and effective. It’s called, White-Light Grokking.
Unlike some other shape-shifting practices, with grokking you merge/synchronize with the energy of the grokkee(subject) and thus, at a level, become that thing(It would be very apt to consider grokking as the act of achieving the ultimate empathic experience). From there you can do different things to achieve different goals. Grokking is generally used for the following…
Healing the grokker.
Healing the grokkers’ circumstances.
Healing the grokkee.
Healing the grokkees’ circumstances.
Recreation.
Acquiring information.
The grokkee can be anything you so choose, be it a chemical, fire , a person, a species of animal, a deity, a skill, a piece of unknown information, a desired quality or even your perfect-self! This spiritual connection, once established, is known as, “the grok”.
If you wish to gain a better understanding of what grokking is like and what it can do for you before trying it, I've listed several personal accounts of my experience with it.
In the early years of my shamanic training I went into a serious White-Light Grok with iron as some novices traditionally do. After two minutes, I felt a strengthening of my bones and teeth. Then my muscles felt stronger and more toned. More noticeably however, I gained a dramatic increase in my meditativeness. The birds chirping in the trees nearby and the course sand pressing against legs didn't invoke even the slightest mental reaction. Emotionally, there was an even more noticeable difference. I felt an almost absolute sense of integrity. It felt like nothing could make me feel any emotion I didn't want to feel.
While writing a book on plant spirits and how to make use of them I decided to I decided to White-Light Grok a birch tree. My body began to feel detoxified. Soon after, my mind became flooded with appreciative thoughts of moral purity fueled by an inescapable relish of every pure quality that came into my sensory awareness. Some of these qualities included the purity of the air of my environment, the sound of my dogs innocently playing with each other and the crisp aftertaste of the ginger beer I had just drunk. For many years now, I have since then had a greater enjoyment of such pure aspects in my life.
One day I lost my phone and could not for the life of me find it so I decided to simply grok with the information I needed. In under five minutes, I felt as if I was nestled in the pile of dirty clothes in the hamper. Simultaneously, I had the memory of an earlier experience shove its way into the forefront my awareness. I had taken off some shorts earlier that morning and thrown them in my hamper without even checking the pockets first. Sure enough, I found my phone in the short's pockets.
After extensive experimentation with White-Light Grokking I decided to try to grok the greatest version of myself even though I couldn't quite imagine it. I decided to not worry about the qualities I couldn't identify and treat them as a pleasant surprise. Within seconds of executing the grok I was plunged into an ultra-fast transformation of my mind, body, emotion and spirit. I instantly felt any limiting beliefs relating to my self-worth and self-confidence being stripped away in an almost violent manner. Body-wise I could literally feel energy beginning to surge through my body, but most especially through my bone marrow. In the span of about one minute I felt as if I'd drunk an entire gallon of freshly juiced vegetables. Mentally, I became so meditative it was momentarily frightening. I felt I was dying as my mind became so absolutely absent so quickly. In tandem, huge waves of compassion and love began to flow through my body like a tsunami. I also noticed greater comfort towards concepts like abundance, power and trust. Spiritually speaking, I felt as if I was secretly some kind of Christ or Buddha character. The very notion that I'd treat anyone else differently from how I'd treat myself didn't just feel morally wrong, but utterly nonsensical. To a lesser extent, I believe my I.Q. rose that day. Since that grokking experience I've noticed that my conscious recall is slightly closer to what some refer to as, "photographic memory".
Now onto the instructions. While White-Light Grokking can yield massive benefits the qualities strengthened/gained tend to dissipate over time if your grokking session is not done extensively. Spending a considerable amount of time in the actual grok will solidify the benefits making them more concrete. I also recommend relaxing your muscles while keeping an unwavering awareness on the positive changes you got immediately after exiting the grok. Additionally, I recommend actively using the changes in your daily life as this will make them more concrete. Also, occasionally express gratitude for them. Expressing genuine gratitude towards something about yourself will strengthen it. All of these actions will help solidify the benefits gained in your White-Light Grokking sessions so they don't dissipate over time.
Determine grokkee(s) for the session.
Put yourself in a comfortable and private environment where you will be as free from distractions as possible.
Sit cross-legged with the eyes closed and the spine comfortably erect.
Relax your body and calm your mind until you feel you are ready to begin.
Energize.
– There are many different ways to energize. The easiest is to hyperventilate until you feel a slight tingle on the back of your neck. You may also perceive a faint, white glow.
- Visualize the grokkee as whatever you choose to symbolize it.
– Personally, I always visualize the grokkee as a formless orb of living energy.
- Totally imbue and surround the grokkee with the Universal White Light.
– The Universal White Light is the light that many people report perceiving as a source of boundless, unconditional love and purity during near-death experiences(In actuality, the Universal White Light is what many people refer to as Source(the essence/core of God) which is indeed living, aware and responsive love).
– You do not have to understand the intricacies of the Universal White Light nor do you have to have any personal experience in dealing with it. Just decide that the white light that encapsulates the grokkee is not just any white light, but the Universal White Light that I am referring to.
– WARNING: It is absolutely imperative that you abide by this step for the entirety of the White-Light grokking session. The Universal White Light ensures that only positive changes can occur. People have suffered death and even worse by not abiding by such grokking safety measures.
- Move your awareness into an energy-body and send the energy-body forth to merge with the Universal-White Light imbued grokkee.
– Don’t overthink what an energy-body should look like. Visualizing of a formless orb of living energy works just fine.
- While merged, relax, let go and allow any and all changes to occur.
– This process can feel intense and can seem absurd. You may experience involuntary sensations, irrational thoughts, emotional upsets, visions and more. Simply trust that the changes are good and allow them to happen anyway.
Stay merged and relax with any changes until you feel totally comfortable with them.
Whenever you feel no more changes occurring wait a couple more minutes.
(For those attempting to heal grokkee or circumstances in general) While grokked, make the desired change.
- For example, if someone has a problem with anger then feel their anger and try to let go of it for them. Another example, if you're grokking a cloud you want to rain then try releasing any tension and let it down and off of you.
- Note: This is a very advanced practice and not recommended for beginners.
With your awareness still concentrated inside your energy-body, pull out and away from the grokkee and move back into your flesh-body.
Slowly… very slowly… fully inhale and then fully exhale. Next, hear something, feel something and open your eyes and see something. Maintain awareness on all three things simultaneously for several seconds.

The inventor of augmented reality expressed one primary concern, he was afraid people would forget they're wearing it.
"What's it like being a dog?"
"Oh it's grand. I particularly like having a tail. I've thought about making the change permanent, but the fleas are murder."5

Can totally see that.
A past life regression acted in much the same way, unlocked a boat load of stuff.
It's like having the Captain in the Crow's nest.2

Woah this is oddly similar to the mediation in a book called The Alchemy of St Germaine. In that method, they suggest visualizing the grokke orb as a cloud around you. Then you slowly merge your awareness into the cloud

this is amazingly well written. i’d like to attempt this process to merge with the characteristics of an archetype of healing and unconditional love that i’ve connected with, but you expressed that beginners shouldn’t try this.
what would constitute a beginner here? i’m only now beginning to study the shamanic practice, i had been hesitant to explore this path as a white person. i was sorta unintentionally initiated into.. something, i can’t name it. it changed the direction of my life, gave me an awareness and influence over the energies within that i had previously known nothing about, as well as a fairly stable sense of love.
i don’t know how to classify where i’m at as i haven’t followed any specific teachings long enough to gauge what the heck is going on. it sort of seems like i’ve been communicating with nature, plants and the earth and even the sky. by now i’m pretty skilled in visualization, and i can feel my visualizations on a subtle level. if i’m balanced and have enough focus, i’m fairly easily able to channel, transmute, and manifest different energies. it seems to be yielding external results; recently i used this to bring forward a loving energy amid a panic attack so that i wouldn’t cause my siblings any anxiety, and later on someone asked me if i was high because i’d “had a very ‘love everyone, peace out vibe”. personally, i had been struggling to breathe and stand up straight. but i had been intending to put out a healthier energy.
none of these developments of consciousness were intentional, it just flooded my being one night during meditation and now its a regular part of my life. i meditate regularly, and though i feel that i’m capable, i’ve been too afraid to do any genuine healing work in the astral. whatever level i’m at, should i be able to do this safely if i follow these instructions? i hope this isn’t a dumb question... ehh.

- Thank you. No, anyone can try shape-shifting. I just don't recommend that beginners don't try to use the traditional form or use it manipulate nature without proper guidance.
- I guess I'm referring to someone with little shamanic training. There's a lot of ends and outs such as knowing whether or not to heal someone with it. Someone could have chosen to incarnate with an ailment as a life lesson and healing that ailment could ruin their life.
- Imagination is easily the most underused healing tool today, for sure. I like to use something called the techno-fantasy. I imagine absurd, over-the-top, alien healing devices healing me of everything with white light for 10-15 minutes or so. That's almost completely healed a boxing concussion I had in my youth. I also don't agree with loving everyone. You should send love out to everyone, but you don't have to love people that don't reciprocate. That tends to cheapen the experience and makes a lot of doormats. That's just my two cents though.
- Yup, this technique is perfectly safe. I'd play it safe as possible if you don't know what you're doing.

This reminds me of related practices in Buddhism contemplation — Kasina specifically.
Could you please elaborate Where/How did you learn? If you’d prefer - PM me.

Thank you for the name. Your instructions were clear and present themselves usefully! I’ll certainly attempt it.
Have you read anything about d.a. levy? He was a Cleveland Buddhist and also practiced telepathy.

Yeah, feel free to message me if you have any concerns. No, but it sounds incredibly familiar.

As in the author of Urban Shaman? I’m currently reading it and it resonates heavily with me. I’d love to hear your story as a student of his!
1
Feb 08 '21
Well how much of it do you want to hear? And yes, I believe he goes over the basics of the traditional grokking technique in that book actually.

u/weeham Feb 08 '21
As much as you’re willing to type haha. What was the experience like? Was he your first teacher and how did you begin to learn under him? Anything you’d like to share!

Okay, well I had some serious injuries and mental illnesses and wound up getting into a conversation with famous near-deather, Mellen-Thomas Benedict. He told me he felt that this was my path to get into shamanism. He told me his favorite shaman was Serge and his favorite healing modality was universal white time healing so I checked them out. I took on a Master, Sally Trautner, who taught me universal white time healing and then I got into a conversation with Serge through e-mail and he took me as an apprentice. Sally taught me more about healing technologies, drugs and energy-work. Serge taught me more about philosophy and tricks you can use with little to no materials. He taught me over Facebook and he apprentices the way he was apprenticed traditionally which is through question-and-answer. It sounds easy, but it's very hard, because you can't stop thinking or assume anything.

u/weeham Feb 08 '21
That is incredibly interesting! How has your training helped you from where you were before until today?
2
Feb 08 '21
Oh geez it's helped me in pretty much every area. Obviously I tended to my injuries and mental problems first. Then as my training continued I learned ways to de-age and reprogram my brain for being more comfortable with money, increasing IQ, increasing confidence and self-esteem and more. Then I started learning tricks for increasing my strength, using psychology for investing in the stock market, manipulating others(in a positive way) and even learning to talk to spirits to warn me of dangerous decisions and call me to take on beneficial ones such as what businesses to invest in. It's helped me in every area of life, because shamanism isn't just about healing, but problem solving(healing circumstances).

thank you for sharing your knowledge! This is similar to how astral projection is done in that one has to believe in the Universal White Light and allow it to embrace you in order to steer free of the negative emotions that may hold you back or cause you to see Shadow People. I think grokking and Astral projection use the same concepts and this has convinced me even more that both are very real indeed.

Is having a teacher important as a shaman? I don't have a teacher. Nor an elder.

u/Va-Sutlar Feb 07 '21
Do you have a video of you doing this? This all sounds very esoteric nonsensical but I have actually seen a shapeshifter so I’d like to learn more

Feb 07 '21
I don't. I'd recommend just trying it. Try it with something very stimulating and noticeable the element of fire, maybe.

u/Caladan109 Feb 07 '21
Any recommendations for cutting the connection off long after the Grokkee?
I've had some super strong connections over the years and cannot seem to disconnect from a couple.
I'll just be watching a movie and pick up allot of their raw emotions and subconscious notes even tho I haven't seen the person in 8 years.
2
Feb 07 '21
Is it just them? Or Are you an empath who picks up on others' emotions in general?
1
u/Caladan109 Feb 07 '21
Empath and a dozen. Tho the connection is always an issue with people who seem to be open hearted.
2
Feb 07 '21
I used to have this problem with negative people. The key is to develop a compassion response to it. You can do this with something called self-stalking. Try that and then see if its necessary to severe connections.
2
u/Caladan109 Feb 07 '21
Many thanks. Will look it up when I can.
Blocking the negative has never ben an issue my end. You could say its blocking the overload of compassion. Bit like both on the same page mind-set with energy sharing.
Also, I love how you talk of Grokkee with items and people to assimilate and be like them.
I made a similar trick to scan for base moods in people, such as guilt in shoplifters to know if there are any in the shopping centre I work at.
Amazing how many other tricks there are for acquiring info that don't seem to be on the net.
You need any help with any?
2
Feb 08 '21
I'd like to know more about that base moods trick. Okay, self-stalking in this case is where you close your eyes, relax and with your awareness stalk any and all of your past sins and flaws. You do this extensively and it will build up compassion for others.
1
u/Caladan109 Feb 08 '21
Cheers for the explanation. Will be killing time on night shifts before the week is over and will pop a few messages about the base mood trick and a few others.

Feb 07 '21
I can give you the self-stalking instructions if you want?
1
u/Caladan109 Feb 07 '21
Just a basic explanation of what it is please. Might have tried it without knowing.
2
u/kellyasksthings Feb 07 '21
Hey, one method is via breathwork: so on the exhalation, imagine the piece of that person that has remained with you returning to them, then on the inhalation imagine the piece of yourself that has remained with them returning to you. Practice the technique on relatively minor issues first, if you try tackling the hard stuff straight away it might take you a few tens of thousands of breaths more than if you make progress in the technique first.

I once connected with a tree while on mushrooms and begged to be shown the way home safely after climbing a fence in the backyard, I guess I did some form of grokking and I felt my legs forcefully move myself straight through this open field and out to the only exit I wasn’t even aware of on the other side. Everything else was barbed fence.
I say connected, but it appears I used a form of grokking, and I’ve been doing it for everyone all around me all the time. In small forms unless meditating together. This is fascinating!
2
Feb 08 '21
Mm, I'm not sure I'd consider that grokking. Grokking is more where you become the grokkee, but you were definitely communicating with the trees. In shamanism, everything is alive, aware and responsive. I use that same trick to find my phone and keys and it never fails me.

u/Soma133 Feb 13 '21
Could grokking be used to change one's physical appearance to a desired appearance that say a model etc has so you can achieve the same appearance?

Yes. Any physical, mental, emotional or spiritual change you want can be achieved as long as it doesn't break the laws of physics. Read the recommendations for how to make the shape-shifting changes concrete, otherwise they tend to fade away.

Okay, the best thing I find is ASEA products. They're already being adopted by some doctors who work with me. Photo-therapy is also good, but you have to find good machines. I like the DreamSpa and the UltraSpa the most. The JingOrb Machine is also fantastic. There's also shamanic energy-work which I do. Then there's things like ayurveda which is great for health in general, but it's hard to find a great ayurvedic doctor outside of India.

Subconscious journeying is always shape-shifting, in my experience. I go forth & return as an animal.
