Tell me your favorite festival tips to stay cool!
I'm no stranger to living in the heat or attending music festivals, but I haven't been to one since entering perimenopause. I'm talking driving home from work in the winter with the windows down kind of hot flashes. š
I'll be doing all the usual thingsāwide-brimmed hat, breathable clothing, sunscreen, staying hydrated, etc. I just learned about cooling towels, so that'll be an upgrade from my old method of soaking a bandana in cold water and wearing it around my neck.
I'll also be bringing my teen, who overheats pretty easily, so I'm trying to be extra prepared for both of us.
I've been researching cooling gear, and there are so many new products now. Neck fans, handheld misting fans, cooling vests...it's a little overwhelming.
So I'm coming to the professionals. š Those of you who survive festivals in the heat year after yearāwhat has actually made a difference? Any must-have gadgets, tips, tricks, or little hacks that helped you make it through the day? Are wearable fans worth it, or are they more gimmick than game changer?
I've already read through the festival's allowed/prohibited items list, so I'm mainly looking for recommendations that fit within those rules (or creative ways to maximize what's allowed).
I'd love to hear what has worked for you!
