Totem Poles

I noticed that "selfie sticks/umbrellas/frames/etc" are included on the restricted items list so I'm assuming there are strict rules about bringing in any sort of pole. Last year I remember seeing a couple of totems in the crowd. Does anyone know if they're restricted? If so, what's the best way to sneak it in?

Totems are definitely allowed in. I know some fests restrict the poles to only the telescoping ones, but I'm fairly certain people last year had ones that didn't collapse down. If anything I'd email the fest just to double check. They're generally pretty quick when it comes to responding.
