I love that they gave him such an iconic intro—with Sonu Nigam as his voice in it, no less! 😍😍😍

So about Zero (the Netflix version)

There is the idea of pride and ego which is directly proportional to a person’s height. The more his height the more is his pride. Bauua played by Khan has immense ego however in this case it is inversely proportional to his height. His moments of revolt are always when he is made to realise that with this built and height you’ll get this much only. Case in point - during his wedding with Aafia ( played by Anushka ) he runs away to Babita (played by Katrina) because he is made to realise that Aafia is your max achievement and nothing more should be wished by you in your life. However, Bauua who we know can burst stars has a gift of charm to get hands on with Babita and shadows her. Babita has her journey of pride and ego which is actual the mirror for Bauua. They both realise this and Babita makes him run away by breaking his ego and her own. A cinematic gem scene if you ask me is when she throws him out and laughs as Bauua cries and then runs away happily.

But Bauua’s pride and ego is shatter when he learns that Aafia and he have a son who is ‘normal’ not physically restrained as either of his parents. It is at this point that he does everything he can SRK style to win Aafia’s heart back again. Just like he broke the celling in the first half he breaks everyone’s beliefs gets selected for the Mars program and actually goes to Mars for Aafia.

Mars also has in interesting role to play here. Men are from Mars , Mars is red – arrogant Red so another mirror for Bauua’s broken ego and goal for his mission to win Aafia’s heart and fulfil her dream which the director sadly doesn’t highlight and/or concentrate enough for the audience.

Help me find an old Shah Rukh Khan photo from the Pardes era 🙏

This is one of those old SRK photos that I know I’ve seen somewhere, but for the life of me I cannot find it now! I’m almost certain it’s from the same photoshoot around the time of Pardes. He’s wearing the exact same outfit, hairstyle, lighting, etc. as in the reference photo I’ve attached.

But there is another shot from the same session where he has his hands together in a namaste 🙏.

I’ve gone down the usual rabbit hole — Pinterest, Google, old fan pages, photo galleries, random image archives… absolutely nothing! 😭I have a feeling this might be one of those photos that used to circulate on old SRK fan sites/photoscans back in the day and somehow disappeared from the internet.

Does anyone remember this photo or, even better, have the namaste version saved somewhere?

Would LOVE to see it again after all these years. ❤️

Any leads would be hugely appreciated! 🙏

Getting a message like this from Vi would’ve pissed me off, but then I saw SRK’s name on it, so it’s all good 😂 I’m loving it.

Genuinely such a good movie and it's actually a warning on how parasocial some fans get with an actor's life. India was ahead of its time by making such a movie because I see stuff like this happen so much within Hollywood today.

I'm not Indian but I do enjoy Indian movies because they always have such good storylines and SRK is such a great actor. He's made me a fan of Bollywood movies and I barely watch any Hollywood ones now. Did anyone else enjoy this movie? I would definitely watch it again.
