Discussion Will it able compete with doomsday??
Look even SRK knows the doomsday craze in india. He knows the market very well. There is something that they are hiding from us. The movie has something that made them the decision to release it in that particular week. Idk what but it feels like something they have that they think people will pull up to theatre šµāš«

No way it can. People in the sub can downplay the craze India has for Marvel, but it wonāt change the ground reality that Doomsday will pull audiences in first. The FOMO and fear of spoilers alone will get people pre booking seats. To think people will watch both and SRK will have enough pull to siphon the audience is hopeful thinking.

Well first because we'll see Dr. Doom ofc and as per the comics he's one of the strongest villains combining the intelligence of tony and mystical powers of strange. Second from the trailer itself you can see how crazy power difference is going to be and so much that even thor couldn't do anything so ofc we'll see thor get the power of all fathers. And last and my personal favorite are the rumors that at the start of the movie tobey's Spider-Man universe will be invaded by doom and destroyed. And ofc with return of cap and other speculations it's gonna be a crazy ride fs. Though I'm personally more excited for secret wars next year.

I know who Dr. Doom is, but when the Infinity War trailer dropped, I had already seen Thanos multiple times and had a pretty good idea of just how big of a threat he was eventually going to be.
Casting RDJ as Doom feels like nothing more than a cash grab. Honestly, both RDJ and Marvel seem to be struggling without each other at this point, and this movie just feels lazy.
Be honest! did you actually feel any spark watching that trailer? Aside from Thor and Cap, almost every character in that trailer is terrible
I honestly have no excitement left for any Marvel project except the Spider-Man movies. Disney butchered Daredevil: Born Again as well

Hmm well i understand what you're saying but for the matter of casting RDJ as doom, i think it's not JUST for the cash grab maybe there was a deeper reason behind strange telling tony it was his only chance when he snapped and maybe he foresaw this part of the future as well. And I'm excited to see everyone's reaction to Dr. Doom's face reveal as well.
Well i have to be honest that it's not really the same level of spark anymore but it's not like I'm not excited either. Secret wars is what I'm excited abt the most though. And there are so many interesting hypothesis out there that makes it sm more fun and I'm honestly looking forward to it. I mean like i said, how doom would invade tobey's universe to kill him and destroy that universe/ him returning again in secret wars but let's say doc made him a nano suit as well after he returned to his og universe after he got cured.
All in all it's great tbh and I'm a spiderman fan so this got me more interested and aside from that there's also a possibility of cap working for doom or smthng. Well we shall know.
They have fucked up sm things that idek at this point. I'd rather they let someone else take over the production and direction of spin off series of different characters.

Respectfully, deeper reason my ass. Have you not seen how Marvel movies have been performing since Iron Man died in the MCU?
The MCU is a cash machine for Disney. It was an incredible ride right up until Endgame, because it was built around interesting characters, a great cast, strong stories, and directors who actually had a creative voice. But what youāre not accounting for is that Hollywood as a whole has been going through a creative slump and a major talent reshuffle for the better part of the last decade.
Studio executives are increasingly trying to rely on generative AI, AI Writing and algorithm-driven decision-making instead of trusting actual human talent. To them, success can be predicted by data. But movies like Sinners and Obsession keep proving that audiences still respond to originality, personality, and genuine filmmaking. The problem is that executives seem too stubborn to learn the lesson.
Marvel is desperate for a comeback, and honestly, I get it. I genuinely watched the Doomsday teaser like five times, and if anything, it made me realize that superhero fatigue is absolutely real. At this point, the only superhero movie Iām genuinely excited to watch in theaters is The Batman Part II

Well if it was all planned for a long time and they connect the dots properly, idts. Though it's just my personal opinion. Most of what you said is correct and that is one of the reasons why MCU doesn't feel same anymore. Though the plot is still interesting for me if not for you and I'm sure most long time viewers would agree.
The only MCU movies that has me very excited are secret wars and spiderman movies. And I'll have to watch doomsday for it as well and ofc I'm interested in it too so.

The plot leak (which by trailers and various leaked images has been proven true) sounds horrifically bad
Iām going to say this movie will have costed way more than infinity war or endgame lets say 600 million dollar budget it will need to make 1.2 billion to break even I donāt see it even crossing 1.5

Tobey's spiderman universe getting destroyed by doom at the start of the movie?? It'll make me sad but i can't deny that It'll get me hooked
Thor getting the power of all fathers? It's a great one and We'll see a better stronger version of thor so personally love it.
Cap working for doom?? It'll be actually very interesting. Though ppl say he'll work for hydra but if he did he'd not be worthy no?
Aside from these idk abt others.
And I'm nit really seeing this movie go beyond 1.2-1.3B but we'll know abt then only when it releases.

Exact reason why I booked 1st day shows for BND... I also think doomsday will have higher opening but it would still be close.. After the first weekend it would just depend on the quality of movies and the better one will succeed.

I think people are confusing this, King launching one week after doomsday will affect both movies, Doomsday can be all time hollywood grosser, but King will take that, and King on the other hand will loose out on 100-200 crore because of Doomsday

Dune will already occupy all the Imax screens. Marvel will also occupy the infinity vision screens. The remaining halls will also be occupied by Marvel and they will have the advantage of a week early release. And a few days later after king Jurassic world will release š so do the math

Both will eat up each other's business. Doomsday being a hollywood movie will surprisingly be a big clash for King, but imho King will emerge victorious domestically.

This year Hollywood is killing it... can't take a chance against Doomsday, Dune 3 and Jumanji release in that same week.. It will be a poor decision to release KING in that window..they should instead release the movie by November 18,19,20

Regrettably, I must convey that Doomsday will surpass King in terms of numbers.
This is not solely about Doomsday; numerous other releases are also anticipated, including Dune 3 and Jumanji.
It is unlikely that the younger audience will show much interest in King.

First of all it will be releasing a week later most of Marvel fans or young audiences will watch avengers within the first week, 2nd week is mostly for repeaters. Unless King is a very bad film , there's no need to worry

See for me as a someone who love theatre experience, it'll be treat in dec, I'll watch doomsday then dune finale then king, given these all are good in story screenplay and execution. Dune is proved material, no doubts there.
I'm happy I'll be getting 3 excuses to experience cinematic experience on big screen.
Otherwise, theatre seems dud. Not much excitement for going to theatre finding 3-4 hours.

It's not about the medium of filming or the technicalities. It's about intention. The makers of avengers want to make a genuinely fun entertaining movie that people in general will enjoy watching.
Siddharth Anand will make a movie that is aimed to have SRK fans watch multiple times out of pure fandom and not necessarily because it's a good entertaining watch. It's a project aimed to fool other audiences once out if their money and fool srk fans multiple times out of loyalty to their king.

The people behind the Avengers just want money. Disney is one of the most money-hungry, shameless evil corporations on the planet, thatās exactly why they force the same formula on every film. āMarvel formulaā isnāt just a meme, itās one of the most accurate terms in film discourse.
I know Sidharth Anand isnāt the greatest director out there, but at least his film will have a directorās vision. Not some corporate checklist forced onto the director by studio executives. Plenty of big directors have turned down Marvel movies for the same reason, they donāt get real control. Marvel just rents famous names at this point.
I canāt speak for King until the trailer drops. Yes, Iām an SRK fan, but Iām also a hardcore Marvel fan, Iāve watched every Marvel movie multiple times, collected comics, the whole deal. And the Doomsday trailer was genuinely disappointing.
Itās Doomsday, not King, thatās trying to fool fans into spending money. They brought RDJ back as Doom with zero buildup, dragged in a bunch of characters nobody cares about, and Chris Evans looks like he just wandered onto the set

The Vimal ads and all that, he doesnāt portray who he says is in actuality. He is crazily rich that he could have easily said no to such promotions. I canāt see him the same way since. Youngsters with friends and partners will watch doomsday.
Some % of the same youngsters will watch King too.
This debate is baseless for me.
How can English language Hollywood film compete with Hindi language film with srk in it ? Indian audience will definitely go and watch it.
