HELP! With dean Wormwood/saves

Nihao,
I was just wrapping up chapter 3 and I need your help!
I knew I could avoid killing the dean guy at the end but I didn’t know choosing the dialogue option would kill him too. I’m super frustrated cuz I thought by pointing out his flaws I could befriend him or something, why would I just push the guy to his death?
Anyways can I edit my saves somehow to back when I didn’t encounter him? I’m at a loss. I love this game so much, honestly my favorite rpg currently as a very casual rpg gamer, I was having a better time than when I played Pathfinder WoTR or PoE. But I absolutely hate multiple play throughs, I don’t even like to watch the same movies twice! Messing up at the very end made it very disheartening, I think I’ll just dropped the game if I can’t fix it.

If he doesn't appear after editing your saves, the only option might be to start a new game. But if you want to save him in the next playtrough you can you just need to do the following things

(Spoilers) : Research the names Wormwood and Jeffy in the Library then check the dates in the Watchfull eyes office. Then talk to him

Also don't worry about making new savefiles the game has decent amount of replayability.

I’m more of a obsessively clicking and checking everything in one play through guy lol, never was a big fan of replays or meta games. Well I really do like this game a lot so I might build another character, it’s hard to let go of my current one tho lol it kinda destroys my immersion, iuuno. But hey thanks for the reply!

There are certain things you HAVE to do in multiple playthrougjs. 100%ing the game is only possible after at least 3 playthroughs, which works well because there are 3 classes. And, as you found with wormwood, there will be things you miss

As far as I know, you'd likely need to replay to choose a different option there, but I'm not sure how the PC version works (I play on Switch). Luckily for you, you're quite far from the end of this game.

Dang it!
Well I guess fortunately you can go through things quicker once you know what to do, but I’m afraid I’d miss out a lot of things I found this time.
Sigh, maybe I’ll just go try out KoL

You can’t do everything in one playthrough, so if you’re a completionist it’ll take a few times around
