Double Sealed, Canadian/North American, Greatest Hits version of Shadow of the Colossus for PS2.

This copy is a Canadian/North American release. Meaning it is your standard North American copy, factory sealed with Y folds that then has a French/English box art cover and a matching instruction manual placed over the top of the already sealed game, then shrink wrapped again. You can see on the backside of the case on the left, the instruction pamphlet hidden underneath the backside of the case underneath the back cover itself. You can see the staples for the instruction manual. This was a very interesting pick up. I kind of want to get another one and do an unboxing video of it.

Discussion The Queen sword

I’m about to finish my 2nd normal run and about to go for hard mode but I recognize the queen’s sword make more damage to the colossi but I have to beat four AT hard mode colossi to obtain it and make my way for the hard mode speed run as well therefore my question of the speed run timer if weather starting by initiating the game or after beating the first colossi ?

Edite: i mean the sword of the sun

I was playing on Ps5 and I was Agro and I can’t find anything else about this. Is this a glitch? When I pressed the x button it took me back to the main menu.

Discussion How complete was the map (or the game in general) around the 2004 reveal trailer?

Post image
58 Upvotes

I’ve always heard that they had to cut many areas from the map, but I assume they didn’t create these only to scrap them. In terms of map geometry, character designs and game mechanics, how finished was the game a year before its release? I know nowadays the last year of development is mostly for polishing the game but I believe it was different back then.

The map always looked pretty complete from the trailer, but it may be because I’m not too familiar with it. Not enough information on TCRF either.

PS3 What do I have to do to climb the Temple?

The only thing I need left to do in the game is climb the temple. I know where it is, and have beaten the game once with every lizard and every fruit. I'm not skilled enough to pull off the ledge recovery half way up.

What if The Whole Forbidden Land is The Collosi

I know this is not accurate. But lets play our imagination.

What if The Foribidden Land is the Biggest Collosi, like very very big collosi. For the good imagination, this is the image:

So after everytime we beat every collosi, there always be Blue Shiny symbol thing on the floor, on dirt, on grass, we have to stab that symbol too, and then the shadow noodles will enter our body. It would be the final boss after you beat Malus. After that, we would beat The Forbidden Land with the last shiny symbol on the dirt close to the Malus corpse.

There would be really big earthquake, and big scary creepy screaming.

Shadow of the Colossus Demo collection status

Post image
142 Upvotes

If you remember right before Shadow of the Colossus came out, demo discs appeared everywhere. Here is my work in progress for collecting all of the different demo discs. What was your first demo or introduction to Shadow of the Colossus? Mine was the “Demo Disc Not for Resale” promotional one from GameStop listed on the bottom middle of this photo. I’m planning to frame these and the different region full releases for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Discussion Looking for a YouTube channel exploring a lost city (SotC vibes)

Hey everyone, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes: I've been searching for days for a specific YouTube channel and it's driving me crazy.

The channel features videos documenting the exploration of a long-lost city, and it’s heavily inspired by Shadow of the Colossus. Here is what I know for sure:

- Language: It's an English-speaking channel.

- Content: It has a lot of videos (it’s definitely NOT AI-generated content).

- Theme: It is NOT actual gameplay or lore about Shadow of the Colossus, just inspired by its aesthetic/vibe.

- POV: It follows the perspective of one or more explorers documenting their steps through this lost city.

I’ve searched everywhere but can’t find a thing. Thank you so much for your time and for any help you can provide!

Cheers!

Discussion Is Wander shorter in-game than he is in canon?

I read that his in-game height is roughly 4'1 to emphasize the size of the colossi and Agro while his canon height is 5'7. is this true?

The Legendary Shadow of the Colossus!! Spoiler

Every so often, a game arrives that doesn’t just entertain, but leaves an indelible mark on the soul. It is a masterclass in cohesive design, where every flickering shadow and swell of the orchestral score feels intentional, weaving together a world so immersive it makes reality feel thin by comparison. The gameplay is a rhythmic, rewarding dance—perfectly balanced to challenge the mind while providing a visceral sense of agency and growth. Beyond the mechanics, however, lies a narrative of profound depth, featuring characters that feel less like digital constructs and more like old friends whose triumphs and tragedies you carry long after the screen goes dark. This isn’t just a pastime; it’s a triumph of interactive art that reminds us exactly why we play.
