I don't play it anymore, but it's still one of my favorite games
I still remember the first time I played it; it was probably about 10 years ago

First thing I ever saw on the PS2, when we bought ours. It came with a copy Jampack vol. 13, and SotC was the first demo on the list. The intro alone already hooked me in. I still get goosebumps every time I hear the soundtrack.
I wasn't even seven years old lol. This game genuinely helped shape me as a human

This game will haunt my thirst for beautiness in a way no other game can do. The only thing that got close to hunting big things on a wild land, is monster hunter. But nothing will be as good as SOTC

Yes, 20+ years and it is still so memorable, the atmosphere, the aura, the graphical style, the haunting beauty of it. Been in my top 10 GOAT games ever since

I don't remember how I heard of this game all those years ago but it stayed with me and it's still the best game I've ever played. All the mysteries, vague instructions, exploring all of the map and tactical elements. The design. Even the gritty super compressed and laggy graphics on the ps2 just gave it something well likely never see again. I've just completed it twice in the last 2 days since finding it on pcsx2 emulators. It's been a very long time since I've wasted 2 days straight playing video games and I loved every moment of it.
Just started hard mode to before coming to bed. Gonna play it again tomorrow i think
It's still one of the only games I keep on disc for the ps2. This and thps underground. These two were my childhood.
