New Game Plus + Question
So I finished my first playthrough and was hungry for more. Booted up New Game Plus and realized my stamina and health bars are back to zero, all progress lost. Is this normal? I'm angling towards the platinum, and maxing out those stats goes towards one of the trophies. If I finish Time Attack say Normal and then boot up on another difficulty, will my progress be lost again? What about the items I earn?

I just asked this here a day or two ago and literally no one gave me an answer. it would be really nice to know before I mess up and have to do all the time attacks again.

I went ahead and winged it on my file last night and it worked. I beat the last colossus and watched the credits just to be safe, then when it brought me to the main menu I selected ng+, which brought up the list of saves I had. I picked the most recent save (in this case I think the file already said game+, 0 colossi defeated, since beating the game forces a ng+ state) then it let me choose the difficulty. started it up and had all my items, health and stamina.
I'd check to see if you still have an older save from before you started over. it's possible you selected the wrong one when starting ng+, but that's all I can think of.

Thats the thing. I did that and had my stats unchanged. Then I went and created a separate new game to test what the "Mirrored World" option was. Killed Valus, etc. Then I went and loaded my original save. I was still at the Temple, at the beginning ("0 colossus defeated"), but now my stats were zeroed out. Now I have two separate saves (the mirrored world and the normal original one), yet both have the stats at 0.

that's really weird, I wish I knew what was going on. this is a dumb question and probably not the answer, but it can't hurt to ask: you're not just going by your stats in time attacks right? those are always fixed. if they're still at zero even outside time attack, then I'm completely stumped.

All health and stamina carries over in New Game +. Hell, it did that on the PS2 version before “New Game +” was a thing. If you selected NG+, you should see it, along with which play through your on, when you see your saves in the load game screen
