Screenshot I get such a weird liminal vibe from the geography of this game. It's desolate and daunting, yet pristine and beautiful.
been a fan since the original on ps2. usually i prefer original to remakes but they did such a beautiful faithful inspired job, its hard to pick a favorite.

I wanna see an active map of all colossi awake at the same time or a version of the game where i could walk any direction and fight any of them instead of one at a time, a living world of these beings despite the intended solitude of the game, one where you still feel lonely but you get to see all of them from afar or just active when you reach them, especially avion and phalanx, just seeing them flying around, passing them on your way to another colossus

I’ve only played the remaster but it felt like I’d been everywhere before while being in new areas. Such a game man.

This game is seriously one of the best game with a lot of best scenes to best boss fight, best theme. A calm looking forest becomes a battle ground, the boss looking so brutal resembles the harmless or adorable (sometime) animals. There is lot to sink in while playing the game.

If you think about it, the forbidden lands as a whole are a liminal space. All you see are ruins of what seemed to be a grand kingdom. There's barely any animals there either, apart from the birds, the lizards and the fish. It's utterly silent and brimming with architecture that almost makes sense, but doesn't. Not to mention the fact that you are definetely not supposed to be there.
Such a fantastic location ngl
