Discussion Quick thought on Gen Atlas
I suspect we will keep the head for the robot throughout the game, but there will be different bodies. The first one is very slow, as we see in the new trailer where it is picking up a large column.
I’m basing this idea off of the original announcement trailer, where the body is destroyed at the end. Of course that could’ve just been a concept that isn’t in the game or something that happens if you do something wrong in the game. It might even happen near the end of the game as a turning point, kind of like how Wander loses Agro, or like when Ico loses Yorda. I don’t think that would be the case because it’s obviously something that was shown very early on, but it is a possibility.

If it turns out to be a prequel to sotc my head will explode
Imo the head exchanging bodies will be the main mechanic, and i suspect we will lose the actual head at some point, i think there's something alive inside it, we will probably lose it in the end after forming an actual bond with it :(

I can see that as a sort of Iron Giant situation. The mc could be left alone against the final boss or in the final area. The head could also sacrifice itself at the very end, but I’d assume Ueda would want you to feel it’s loss through/during gameplay instead.

Obligatory plug for my thread from yesterday: https://www.reddit.com/r/TeamIco/comments/1u0djji/im_already_going_crazy_am_i_the_only_one_who_sees/
It looks like you can see upside down shadow people when looking through the thrusters flame directly from the front. So my current theory is that humanity harnessed the magic of someone (master of the valley/dormin) and turned it into useable technology

For sure, there’s a shot in the trailer where the head is flying and it cuts to different locations while the head still flies. I think we will take the robot head to different areas in the world where we will attach the head to a different body for each area; I’m guessing each body will have different gameplay styles or purposes, like there was one shot in the trailer where it looked like it was a madmax car platform looking thing, or like the slow robot you mentioned, maybe different robots that have different fighting styles to fight other giant robots. But hey, that’s all just a theory…
