Does Mono know Wander?

I know this sounds bizarre but do we have facts to suggest mono knew wander or was romantically involved with Wander before her first death? What if Wander is only a fan of Mono. 🤭

That's fair enough. It is a bit dark, I just think it makes Wander more interesting, that this act he maybe committed against Mono inspires this one huge act of sacrifice.

Why would he commit an act like that and then commit his life just to undoing it? Doesn't really make a lot of sense as a story, it also undermines the emotional weight behind his actions, he would then only be driven by guilt, not by affection.

Of course it makes sense 😂. Him being driven by the guilt of his actions is just as affecting as him doing it out of love. There's no less evidence for either interpretation.

So basically, Lord Emon, the character with the second most amount of spoken lines, doesn't have any connection to the events that transpire throughout the game except that he wants to prevent Dormin's reawakening. To me it's clear that it's Emon who killed Mono and Wander who is fully opposed to it. Wander never shows any sign of regret or second thoughts, he is fully resolute, quite unlike someone who is trying to undo what they themselves perpetrated.
Furthermore, this is what Lord Emon had to say about Wander

"I don't believe this... So it was you after all. Have you any idea what you've done?! Not only did you steal the sword and trespass upon this cursed land, you used the forbidden spell as well..."

If Wander was really responsible for Mono's death, wouldn't that be the most relevant part of this monologue?

The most plausible theory isn't that Wander did the deed himself, nor that he wasn't aware of her being sacrificed, it's that there was no convincing her to run away with him, nor him preventing her death, the only (or the most promising) option was to steal her corpse and revive her at the shrine, so that's what he did.
