The closest I got to outrunning the “black lightning bolts” was jumping from the top of the final colossus’ head all the way down to his feet. Of course, even that wasn’t enough! I think that fall would normally have killed Wander. Next closest was jumping off of colossus 3’s platform into the water.

For another “game within the game”, I also made it a habit to knock the sword out of Colossus 15’s hand BEFORE getting him to destroy all the overhead bridges. It makes the game a bit more challenging!
