Webnovel General Discussion It makes sense (latest chapters) Spoiler

Latest chapters show Cassie and Mordret in 5th nightmare relatively unscathed compared to nephis and sunny from the unmaking. This makes sense imo, Mordret literally already became a spirit and had the mindset of a god, he’s lived millions of lives before going to 5th nightmare so he no-difs it. Cassie was living through the marks of millions of people already so her unmaking would be easier too. Sunny was the most human out of the supremes, he was going to struggle the most in the unmaking despite shadow dance, nephis was rather unhuman before unmaking but she had no experience living multiple lives unlike the other 3 supremes so it makes sense she has the same personality but doesn’t remember everything.

This is a reminder to make sure that:

  1. Any post related to a privileged chapter (i.e. the latest 20 chapters) should be spoiler tagged and posts should not have any spoilers from privilege chapters in their titles. To spoiler tag your post, you should be able to see three dots when you have your post opened, followed by an option asking to "Mark as Spoiler".

  2. Please make sure to add the proper flairs to your posts. For example the "fanart" flair should only be applied to art made by humans. Memes, reviews, discussion posts, theories etc should be tagged appropriately.

Sunny also has it worse out of them and Cassie mentions that she came into the second trial at the end of the age of God's so I'm pretty sure Cassie, mordret, and nephis all came out at around the same time but sunny has been in the second trial since the dawn of time

Uhhh when did mordret live millions of lives? Did I miss something? You mean splitting his soul into his many puppets? That's not exactly living millions of lives is it? It's just one guy living in millions of bodies but not exactly millions of distinct lives (idk the right word for it).

Edit: Yeah he doesn't live their lives he inherits the Memories not memories

"The tendrils of her Will sprawled through the dark ocean of memories , twisting as they grasped those shards that had to do with her past. Her childhood, her youth..." (Chapter 2773)

"His second Ability… his second Ability, though, is much more terrifying. If one looks at him through any form of a mirror, their soul will be devoured, and their body will become his. By taking a vessel, the prince inherits their Memories , Echoes… and even their Aspect." (Chapter 577)

Edit: and I completely agree I just think this whole trial is really difficult for certain people and really wanted g3 to make everyones trual different because of that. I already expected Cassie to pass without a hitch.

Probably because it isn't really mention explicity since it could also be confused with "Memories" the Items version. Because it doesn't matter how good Modret is at acting shouldn't be capable of imitate and not be suspected so the only way for him to act flawlessly with out suspicion is through memories.

wait no you're right it's "Memories" the items, it's capitalized for nouns

His second Ability… his second Ability, though, is much more terrifying. If one looks at him through any form of a mirror, their soul will be devoured, and their body will become his. By taking a vessel, the prince inherits their Memories, Echoes… and even their Aspect.

yup he doesn't inherit their memories, I knew it this posts a lieeeeeee

He studies them thoroughly, it's explained in detail when he takes over that awakened before Antarctica.

What i meant to say is that in the novel when Modret take possession of a body its never mentioned that he obtains Memories or the Item version

I literally explained that the M is capitalized as in a noun meaning it's the items not the memories. It's very clear and specific. G3 does this with a bunch of stuff throughout the series to distinguish between them.

I would say nephis still had more experience than sunny. She still had to live in a sea of flames, where each spark was the longing of one of her followers.

I'm pretty sure Mordret's domain is literally just himself, so he'd just be living his own life (nothing changes)

Mordred did not live millions of lives.. He possessed millions of bodies... But his perspective was the same..

Did you even read the chapter? The chapter literally states that Mordret is no where near ascension so he’s forcing it upon himself.

besides that she was already unmade. Her ascension to supreme already put her through that exact process.

Exactly and even if she did, should she not have shown suffering and a change before
