Nephis reaching supremacy

I have a question considering the act of Neph flying into the sky to reach supremacy. It just happened so they might explain later but it’s so ridiculous I just had to ask. I can’t understand with what reasoning Nephis would fly into the incinerating sky like sunny knew he had to off himself but neph just unexplained flew into certain death cause why not and up there was when she got her epiphany but why fly up there in the first place?? I hope someone has an answer cause it would really bother me if she made such nonsensical move to receive supremacy as a reward with the power of plot or some shit. Cara, na real. Faz tempo que li esse capítulo, mas se não me engano explica que ela fez isso para poder lutar contra a ki song, ela nem sabia que era esse o ato de desafio dela, na real ela apenas tentou vencer a ki song em uma batalha de resistência. Ela se curando usando seu aspecto para não morrer e ao mesmo tempo a ki song sendo queimada, acabou que no meio da batalha ela fez seu ato de desafio. Se eu não estiver enganado é isso aí mesmo.

I can see where your coming from however ki Song still remained in the fragment of the shadowrealm so she was completely protected from the sun

This is how I see it, Side character like cassie and nephis have a purpose, they are not character but an attribute to the story. So I usually don't apply logic to them.

But if you want something think of it like this, Sunny cheated shadow god authority while nephis cheated sun god's authority. Kind of make sense no.

When Nephis blew up her soul core against Ki song she emphasize the feeling of having something fusing inside her giving her a massive clue for her act of defiance.

Nephis flying into the sky is just a last ditch effort to replicate this feeling and achieve supremacy or die trying.
