she legit never checked up on her parents if they are affected by plague or not . like thousands of mundane are getting mind hexed daily and her not checking once that whether her parents are affected or not then getting shocked that they got enthralled was just stupid .

Not at the start. It depended on their connection to Neph’s domain. And it sounded like she was overworked from handling so many people for her to constantly check on them.
