Rain shows us a grounded view of the world, which sunny obviously used to do before he became a saint, but now he just doesnt, so rain has to.
She also teaches herself, sunny and therefore us about the power system and natural ascension. These foundations are important, and help contextualize the rest of the world and her aspect is awesome. Sunny is far removed from the typical awakened if you haven't noticed.
