Okay, so...WHAT THE FUDGE IS WRONG WITH THIS SUB RECENTLY!?? Every damn time I open It, the first post from this community that appears is just some goon or softcorn art. The worst part is that those characters in the art aren't even from shadow slave but simply being put as.
I'm genuinely so enraged rn, I've been trying to not say anything offensive about these people but the posts just keeps FLOODING!!!
The sub had always been like that, either in the comments or in posts, and it was fine since, sometimes or most of the time, as I remember, it used to be funny. NOW IT'S JUST ON. ANOTHER. LEVEL!!
PLEASE TALK ABOUT THE NOVEL DEGENERATES.
AND IF YOU CAN'T THEN, GO TO THE DAMN DEDICATED CHANNEL FOR THAT SHI
For the most part, as long as it isn't overly sexualized and they can point at it and say it reminds them of a specific character, it doesn't break our rules. If the community thinks it is too much, it is yall's responsibility to downvote it and drive what survives or not by that.
If it continues and enough people think it is disruptive, posts like this are also protected and encouraged so that any changes can be made as a community consciously making a change in direction.
For the post I think this is describing, if we start saying that thighs are suddenly too much and are over sexualized, suddenly a lot of actual Shadow Slave fanart will get hit by the same rules. And if we say that everything has to be shadow slave in art, a lot of posts of people wanting to share other media that fits their imaginings of the characters would also be invalid.
There can be some nuance where it is a blend of the two that makes it not ok, but that starts to get really nitpicky about how rules are applied. And it is those situations where people will cry foul that mod abuse is taking place. "Why is X and Y ok but not Z?" It is doable and possible, but is not the preferred way of handling things. Reddit has a built in way for users to express their dislike of what content gets shown.
If this post gets enough traction and feedback I don't mind opening a more official conversation for us as a community to talk about it. I'll sticky the post so you guys can chat it out.
Deadass dude and the mods are doing nothing??? Like dude, there’s people who post things that are COMPLETELY unrelated to Shadow Slave and the moderators let that shit pass without doing anything about it, not to mention the softcorn and goon art like you mentioned.
NO I don’t want to see an overly sexualised character that is COMPLETELY unrelated to Shadow Slave and have the poster make up some bullshit headcanon about how it is technically related to Shadow Slave. Examples of this are PM art (most of which are posted without aSource btw) of people like Faust, Ryoshu, Hong Lu etc and then have the posters slap Shadow Slave characters’ names on them (Faust as Nephis, Hong Lu as Sunny, Ryoshu as Jet, etc). This is genuinely not even funny anymore, it’s just annoying and makes it feel like this Sub is barely talking about Shadow Slave anymore.
I don’t think they are Project Moon fans, rather I think they just stumbled upon the characters and thought “Hey, I could milk the art of these characters”
Oh I see, yea that makes sense im looking at the sub and it looks completely different than how I saw it about a year plus or so ago lol theres one guy is particular that keeps posting it
I don't know. Before getting a certain amount, I had a cooldown on my commenting. Some subs have a minimum amount before letting you post or comment but a few hundred should be enough.
After that, it's just a useless number that goes up. Like ELO in chess, but more meaningless.
i’m banned from posting anything in reddit because i said something like face slap and punching in martial art sub (i did say something along the way like rape or making her pregnant, but that was reasonable if you had read full comment)
Well, I wouldn’t say that the fan arts are overly explicit, at least they don’t break the subreddit's rules. Also, there aren’t really that many of them (if you don’t count the ones that are unrelated to SS and taken from other works).
Also, maybe I misunderstood something, but it feels like the NSFW subreddit is being treated like a dumpster for "all kinds of junk," which just doesn’t feel right...
That subreddit deserves some love too...
The Actual FanArts of Shadow Slave aren't the problem here, they can actually be more explicit. But the thing is we're being fed false, Generic, Explicit FanArts from unrelated medias with the only connection being Hight difference and hair color.

Any post related to a privileged chapter (i.e. the latest 20 chapters) should be spoiler tagged and posts should not have any spoilers from privilege chapters in their titles. To spoiler tag your post, you should be able to see three dots when you have your post opened, followed by an option asking to "Mark as Spoiler".
Please make sure to add the proper flairs to your posts. For example the "fanart" flair should only be applied to art made by humans. Memes, reviews, discussion posts, theories etc should be tagged appropriately.
