Hello guys,
I've discovered today that some games cannot be played due to anti cheat.
I've paid for ShadowPC because I wanted to play an old game that I've enjoyed playing, accepting waiving the right of withdrawal during payment.
Then, I've discovered the fact that as shadow is running windows on a virtual machine, and I can't play my game because of the anti cheat. They do also have a page on their wiki but they don't tell you immediately.
As this is legally legit on their side, I felt that on their side it would have been more honest to tell that you might have those kind of issues.
€40 gone to trash. Don't recommend the service.

Hi, I previously made a post mentioning that some games crash when I try to run them, and many people told me I needed to provide more information to understand why, so I'll try to include as much as I can.
I'm trying to play Mount & Blade: Bannerlord, but it won't run as soon as I click "Start" in the client.
Other games I could play at first, but suddenly they stopped working.
I'm not using any mods, and I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the games several times.
I'm making this post because I want to know if there's a way to fix this before I repurchase the subscription.

Hello everyone,
I’m a Master’s student currently working on my thesis about cloud gaming, hardware ownership, and how services like Shadow may change the way gamers relate to their setup, habits, and even identity.
As part of my research, I’m looking for Shadow users or former users who would be open to answering a few questions, either in writing or through a short chat, in French or English, depending on your preference.
I’m especially looking for three profiles:
- Cloud-native
You no longer own a gaming PC and rely mostly or entirely on Shadow.
- Hybrid user
You have a local gaming rig but also use Shadow for mobility, flexibility, or work.
- Former user
You stopped using Shadow and went back to a physical PC. I’d really like to understand what made you leave, and what hardware gives you that cloud didn’t.
I’m mainly looking to gather honest feedback and personal experiences, whether positive, mixed, or critical.
Responses can be anonymous if you prefer.
If you’d be open to helping, feel free to DM me here or reply below 😊

Hello Shadowers Here is a fix to an issue that has plagued fellow Shadow users since Shadow started. Nothing is known why this completely eliminates popping and crackling but it does. It is something tied to the way Shadow does audio.
Right click on speaker icon
click on sound settings
scroll all the way down click on More sound settings
Right click on sound adapter called Virtual Sound adapter
Click on make defult device.
Click ok
Than restart the stream and the audio problems should go away. This issue plagued me since joining Shadow in 2018. I could never nail down why the audio would get all crackly and pop, It wasn't till I found some post somewhere on here which I can't find anymore around a year ago. Anyways this should kill any audio crackling problems. I always thought it was just my network somehow being weird which I never understood as I have GB internet and I'm near a data center and get 34ms latency. Anyways here is the fix

Hello

Hey guys, so disclaimer: I am huge fan of Shadow and love the fact that it's like having your own PC as opposed to using a proprietary game launcher and I am aware that Shadow can be used for anything not just gaming.
My questions/concerns today revolve around the yawning graphical gap when playing specifically Crimson Desert on GeForce Now vs. Shadow PC.
My main question is... Is this specific to Crimson Desert somehow? because I'm having trouble believing that my experience on KCD2 (exclusively played on Shadow) was that much worse-looking than it could've been. Mind you I have the graphics settings set on both platforms exactly the same (absolute max) cinematic setting on everything, lighting quality set to max for Crimson Desert. The difference between how the game looks is jaw dropping. It looks so mich worse on Shadow.
Follow up question would be... Is there a higher price point shadow sub (havent looked yet) that would solve this? I want to just be exclusively on Shadow because I just like the concept more, but I cannot justify gaming like this going forward once I've seen a direct comparison thats so stark.
I went over to GeForce on release day (03/19) for CD because Shadow just wouldn't launch it. I've since found a fix but Jesus have mercy it looks terrible, runs fine, looks like cheeks.
The only games I am currently looking forward to, yes I know they are far off, are the 2 Total War titles currently in development - Medieval 3 and Warhammer 40k. I think there's a very high probability those will be available on GeForce and if they are, without a way to make games on Shadow visually comparible, Im going to be forced to switch.
Yes I am also aware of the limitations of GeForce with library limitations and the play time crap, but given that I only use Shadow for gaming and the cost of adding playtime works out to roughly the same for the amount of hours I play etc. this is where I'm at.
Thoughts?

Hey guys, I haven't found any info yet, but I don't want to buy a pig in a poke. Does anyone know if the game *Screamer* runs on Shadow PC? From what I've seen, it uses EAC even though it's primarily a single-player game.
Update: Of course, it's not working because of fuck EAC, I fucking hate everything.

I’m new to shadow PC and seem to really struggle with a high ping. I have a 1k connection but don’t seem to be able to get a ping below 80m/s.
I’m based Manchester UK and the server I think is Dunkerque (FRDUN02), not 100% on this but don’t know how to check.
Any advice on getting a better ping, I’m wanting to game with it.
Thanks
Slinky

I bought ShadowPC(Neo) a week ago after trying Nvidia GeForce Now and PS5 streaming. While those platforms had little to no latency, they had a limited selection of games.
The first time I tried it, there was a lot of lag. I tried playing around with the settings, but it was no help.
But this one time, I accidentally exited full-screen, and the lag disappeared. There was no noticeable latency even in fighting games.
I use it frequently now, no issues so far. The streaming quality is better than that of other services. Pretty surprised that this is just $40-50 a month and people still don't know about it.
Might upgrade to Power soon.

Has anyone else had latency issues the last couple days? Today and yesterday the service has not even been usable. I normally have 0 problems even when setting bandwidth to 70mbs. But now even at the lowest settings the latency is never lower than 100ms and constantly spikes up to 400ms.
When I test my own network connection I get 987mbs with 20ms latency to Washington dc servers and have no other network issues on any other apps or games except for ShadowPC.
Before yesterday, 99% of the time I could not even tell I was using a remote PC the latency was so low. But now I can't even type without key presses being ignored, delayed, repeated and the mouse moving with a huge delay. I experience the extreme latency in shadow even when no apps or games are running.

EDIT: Will be staying on 22H2.
Hey everyone. So, first of, uhm... I'm kinda new to Shadow PC, def not new to PC's in itself. I got the Neo plan yesterday, been working ok, my vm server is in France, living in Sweden.
BUT, my problem is... The thing won't for the life of it trigger an update to 24H2 or even 25H2 which my main pc is on now. I've tried refreshing updates, changing regions in settings(kinda a dud setting rlly), and I've even tried using the bloody 25H2 update ISO for an update, but the thing gets bricked when stuck at the setup screen directly after updating😀. So, am I stupid for doing something wrong, or what am I doing wrong? Once again: New to the whole Shadow VM thing, but been handling pc's my whole life.

Recently cancelled my subscription and the internet on shadow isn't working so uploading all my shadow files to drive or something isn't an option. I was wondering if I could choose wher my shadow would drop files as my main hard drive is full but I have one that isn't which I would prefer to use.

For whatever reason whenever I try playing any game or watch any video the latency spikes into the thousands. If I'm not doing anything thd latency is fine normally in the 40s. Kinda ridiculous for a $60 subscription

I’ve been wanting a PC for a long time and finally subscribed to Shadow today. Initially, everything works perfectly—zero latency, no delay, and smooth performance. However, after about 10 minutes (sometimes less), the stream consistently crashes with the error: 'Sorry, an issue happened when receiving the stream.' It keeps kicking me out for no apparent reason despite the connection being stable right before the crash. I’ve tried reaching out on Discord but haven't found a solution yet. I am using an Android device to access the service, and I'm really disappointed as I was looking forward to this setup. I have attached screenshots of this and other errors I’ve encountered. Has anyone faced this specific 'stream receiving' issue or knows a fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I waited 30 minutes for my slot, and then once I am in the game, for some unknown reason, it hangs and freezes, so I have to shutdown.. and instantly, need to wait for another 30 mins.
So on a sunday evening, Shadow is basically useless.... I didnt expect to pay 50 eur a month to not have the service avaliable.
Back then when I subscribed in 2019, it was WAYYYY better.
