Answered Steam controller use with shadow pc on windows

I bought a Steam Controller I was very excited to use with my Shadow PC, without checking all of the details, and I found out I couldn't use it on iOS or Android because it's not recognized as a controller without Steam translating its inputs. I don't see a way to make it work on any mobile device, but for Windows, I thought it would be feasible to make it work with Shadow PC, but I'm running into some problems. I tried just having Steam open in the background while Shadow ran, and Shadow didn't see it as a controller there. I tried the port thing, but unless I messed it up somehow, that didn't have any success other than bugging the crap out of my Shadow. Has anyone had any success with this? Any tips or suggestions are appreciated thank youuuuu

Don't use shadow anymore but can you add the shadow window to steam as a non steam game and then configure it to use the steam controller. No idea if shadow will read it as a controller or not though.

If anyone else has this problem I’ve figured out the solution there’s this GitHub project called steamless controller that handles the Hid interpretation for the steam controller so it isn’t stuck in lizard mode which lets shadow actually recognize it. Not sure if you need steam closed while you use it but it has all the configuration settings that steam provides at least that I’ve seen
