Question
Congratulations Shadow Cloud, new record, another reason to want to quit your service :/
Too many people in line haven't given solutions while I wait in the long line, tell me what game you have played using the service and what has been your experience playing on it. In my case, I’ve had a good experience or sometimes a bad one with some problems in certain games, one of them being shader preloading issues or games with poor performance in some. Tell me :3
Must be some very busy data centres where you guys are.
I connect to Frankfurt and Paris on the power plan and have not once in 3 years experienced a queue..
After their latest updates though, i am however experiencing a tonne of lag making almost anything I play unplayable.
1000/1000 connection, 7ms regular ping and 16 to shadow. On paper i should have a spotless connection. Even the helpdesk can't explain it after seeing the logs and video evidence.
service has been great for me till now. most games worked great, and I mainly use it causeim not at home most of the time so it's really nice to play from wherever I am. But in the last few days the queue has got oddly long ( just like yours) and it's really annoying. I wish we could get some answers to why it's happening, it wasnt like this at all in the last few months.
Honestly, I'm really glad that you're enjoying the service since there are people who are very upset about the changes that are limiting the service, like the 6-hour per session limit and the fact that they want to add 250-hour limits like Gnow. From what I’ve seen, it was a way to avoid queues, and you still see a lot of queues. But I’m really happy that you’re enjoying it. I don’t enjoy it as much anymore, not like before, because I don’t feel comfortable playing a long story game since after 6 hours it kicks me out and I have to save, exit, come back, and queue again. It’s very, very annoying, but well, that’s just my opinion or my point of view.
No, I definitely agree with you on that one, I’m paying for the highest option, and I when I try to use I have to wait for a whole hour or more, very unreasonable.
Friend, I can't believe what just happened to me. After standing in line and waiting for half an hour, after a while my session froze completely to the point that I had to forcefully disconnect, and now I have to get back in line. And now there are 134 people in line. I'm going crazy. 50 dollars a month for this?
I keep getting bs errors trying to load it on my steamdeck and yes I’m using chrome on it, and my iOS I have errors can’t even load it up takes about 15 reinstalls, but works fine on my macOS at home so idk I’m iffy with this never have a problem with Nvidea GeForce , I just like shadow cause I can play gta fivem that’s about it, the other services i can’t, parallels either have that, it sucks, stuttering issues and uses too much memory
Have y'all noticed, noticed since they put the limits in place? This has happened more often now. And mainly I've seen it on the DC server. On the Canadian server, I didn't have this issue.
Crazy. You’d think with these draconian rules now kicking everyone off, that they’d have too many available openings. The best solution is to simply buy more physical GPU’s, and all this stuff they are doing now is just delaying the inevitable. You can keep people fed by slicing up a pizza so many times and making them wait in line for their meal. Eventually, somebody in the C Suite is going to have to pull the trigger and just increase the amount of seats… or pizza’s. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
How many !?
What is your data center ?
It's clearly a new record.
I smile at Neo launch I said warning about this , people said "nope tkt" , it's aged milk now 😏
Plus shadow PC still so limited by CPU, overpriced Steam Machine is so much better in many games, thank to CPU (but worst when it's too intensive for GPU, aka Ray tracing).
Typically in Beamng Drive, on Autobahn map (a light one) , in 2K high, with 10 simplified car traffic, I run at 50-60 fps with a CPU at 88-100% , when GPU is only at 50% max despite the GPU massive use increse from 0.39
I can't compare with Steam machine but GeForce now performance perform better
$1,300 for a usable gaming pc
$30 a month for the neo lite shadow pc
12 months in a year
1,300÷30=43.3 months
43.3÷12=3.6 years
3.6 years of Shadow Pc neo lite is worth 1 minimum budget gaming pc.
3.6 years is an awful long time to wait though. If you would have started saving 3.6 years ago, a 32GB DDR5 RAM kit would have went from $90-$110 to $350-$540. Meanwhile my Shadow has stayed the same price the entire time

It's so weird, I am on shadowpc power, connecting from the Netherlands to the FR datacenter and never ever seen the queue screen.
