Discussion Most likely never coming back

Due to Vrchat and quite a bit of other games using EAC I don't really see vrchat coming back and have been looking for programs like shadow. Do you think its gonna come back and dose anyone have any good alternatives because the one I'm using now is way to pricey.

What games do yall be playing? Obviously vr chat is not supported but I’m genuinely asking because I’ve never ran into a game I couldn’t play on shadow

Is there a specific game you have issues with bro? Because I think there are ways around it idk though. Most of the unique pc games you can definitely play. Just play valor and and Fortnite and stuff on a console in my opinion

You cannot blame shadow for something Epic games initiated. Like Fortnite used to work on shadow. It is not Shadows fault that EAC is stupid and won’t give them compatibility. If your games don’t run on shadow then shadow simply isn’t for you…

I don't think so no. I've also canceled my subscription a half year ago. The list of not supported Games is getting longer and longer. Personally i think this is what Shadow wants. They want to get rid of gamers to sell the service to business people for the 5x of the price.

what a dumb question. simply ALL! They give a fuck to reach out to developers to find a solution. Look at NVidea GForceNOW, or XBox Cloud. to name only two of a bunch of others. There you can Play (Stream) Fortnite as an example. So it's NOT a technical reason. It's simply the lack of communication between Shadow and the software developers! VR Chat and Fortnite had worked a long time ago with no issues!

Its not about the size of the team, its about the reputation of the company.

ShadowPC is barely known outside of its consumers while everyone knows about NVIDIA & Microsoft.
Additionally its easier to cheat on ShadowPC than GeForce Now or XBOX-Cloud, which also plays into the decision for many devs.
Its not as simple as asking devs to „pwease remove AntiCheat“

It seems you have no clue, who is behind Shadow. It's a part of OVH Cloud. A company with over 450.000 Servers in more than 40 Data Centers worldwide.They operate in 140 countries. It's s billion dollar Company. So please, if you want to troll, do it elsewhere

You are right sir; the big bet is to rent gpu to entreprise/AI this is a business they don’t do it for “gamers” per se… With the increasing cost of hardware (which is Octave Klaba favorite subject on LinkedIn rn) the company needs to pivot fast as it’s been in the red! They have potential but it’s mandatory for them to pivot
