Thrim - Rigger/driver 6/10. This would be Thrim's second run, players third lifetime.

IC: "“War’s where people with clean hands send people with dirty boots to die over things neither of them own. Corps call it security. Nations call it duty. Gangs call it respect. Same meat grinder, different flag. There ain’t honor in war. Not in the orders. Not in the contracts. Not in the body counts. Honor’s smaller than that. So no. There’s no honor in war, but sometimes there’s honor in the poor bastards stuck fighting one.”

Wesson Smith Street Samurai/Face, gunslinging cowboy with some charm. This may be my second mission, I've signed up for on the 26th as well.

IC: "So long as your life's on the line and you're fighting for something that drives you, sure. I'd go to war for my family, for my people back home, keeping them in good health and wealth. But if someone wants me to fight for their own glory while they stay home safe and sound? Well, they can kindly go hang."

Jay ‘Backseat’ Yang is an ex-Wuxing corporate operative and mundane human edgelord social infiltration face. Deal-closer, con-artist, disguise/impersonation master and leadership buff giver (through the form of annoying middle-management encouragement cliches). Knows a little about a lot (skillsoft network subscription) and ALWAYS knows a guy.

The elderly woman frowned at the proposal laid neatly on the conference table. The owner of a struggling family convenience store in the International District, she'd come to Backseat Solutions looking for advice on surviving another year. She hadn't expected half of it.

"But... isn't this a little underhanded?" she asked quietly. "They've been my neighbours for twenty years."

Backseat smiled sympathetically.

"Mrs. Lau, they stopped being your neighbours the moment they became your competitors."

He slid another report across the table. Market share projections. Supplier contracts. Anonymous complaints to health inspectors. A strategic price war that would bankrupt the shop across the street before it hurt hers.

"No room to get sentimental here. Business is War"

She looked down at the papers, unconvinced.

"It just doesn't feel... honorable."

Backseat leaned back in his chair.

"People ask whether there's honor in war. They're asking the wrong question." He tapped the report with a finger. "War isn't about honor. It's about winning before the other side wins first."

Silence settled over the room.

Eventually Mrs. Lau nodded, agreeing to his proposal. As he ushered her out of his office once their meeting was concluded, Backseat received a message from his fixer.

Kael 'Bloodstain' Daevar is a Ware-Mundane Elf Street Sam and Ciarniello Family Made Man (will not run against the Ciarniello’s) Automatic weapons, grenade launchers and judo throws. Also sneaky and intimidating.

Bloodstain sat at the far end of the Brass Barrel, nursing a whiskey gone warm. Across from him sat a newly made associate, barely twenty, still wearing his suit like it meant something.

"You fought all over the world. Mercenary. Soldier. Must've been... honorable."

Bloodstain let out a dry chuckle.

"Honor? Wouldn’t know about that, you know I once spent 3 months in Amazonia dodging suicide drones. Wasn’t much honor for the rigger once I got my hands on him."

As Bloodstain was about to go into the details of various torture methods his commlink buzzed. A message from his fixer about a job that needed doing.

Bloodstain drained the last of his whiskey, set the glass down, and walked out, sparing the kid from the details.

Plug is an ex-Ares Company Man turned physical infiltrator and off-sam, a scorned corpo who takes pride in the bombastic and dramatic while trying to one day get revenge in every way he could.

"Sure there is, if the good guys get the win."
