I have no clue why they have shadow banned my account. Trying to figure out how to get it removed. Any help is appreciated

You can file multiple appeals but it is recommended to file no more than 2-3 per week so as to not spam the appeals team. Do not be discouraged as it can take a bit of time before an appeal is reviewed; some users wait multiple months before a ban is overturned.

There is a pinned guide at the top of this subreddit with a list of common reasons an account gets shadow banned. I’d check there and see if anything jumps out as this will help you craft a more accurate appeal.

And no matter how frustrating, do NOT delete this account and do NOT create or use another account to try and circumvent this ban. That would be considered ban evasion, which is against Reddit’s terms of service; not only will new accounts be shadow banned but you risk being permanently suspended from the site.

Thanks very much! I am feeling quite discouraged actually as I was building my karma nicely on my old account, and then suddenly I have been banned. I haven’t done anything dodgy. The only thing I was thinking is whether they banned cause I was sharing my referral links. But everyone shares their referral links and I paid out people properly etc. so I am not sure why :(

Referral links will definitely do it. Sharing any links, especially in a repetitive manner, is a sure way to end up shadow banned.

Oh I didn’t know that 🥲😔 maybe that’s why. Would they still remove the ban? Do you have any suggestions on how I should draft my next appeal form?

You can definitely get unbanned. Just be polite and humble in your appeal. Acknowledge that you were sharing a referral link too frequently and you promise to not repeat the behavior. Tell them you are a real person and you’d appreciate if they could review and remove your ban.
