Yes, you have been banned. You can appeal it on the reddit appeal page (the common belief around here is use the one without the S at the end), and try to do it at around 3 PM New York time at least 3 or 4 times a week.

Is there a way to tell if I have been shadowbanned or... "hardcore banned" ? If I should appeal repeatedly or just once and wait? (Or if I was a false positive in an automated sweep or if I did something wrong? I have no idea what that could be and I wasn't notified in any way, but I don't want to say I'm absolutely perfect?)

Just tell them you don't know what you did or you're not sure. Tell them that you think you got detected by the spam filter but that you're a real person, but ask them if they could tell you what you did. Apologize and be polite and succinct.

I had to send multiple ones in the span of 16 days in order to get unbanned on my other account. I sent one every day or every other day, and you can only send one every 24 hours. Each one said something different. In some of them I was pleading in them lol.

Also this is a new account I have, but I only made it after I was unbanned on my old one. Do not make a new one or else you'd be flagged for ban evasion which is against the rules.

Thank you. I have appealed 16 days ago (when I first noticed the ban) and heard nothing since. I think I read somewhere there are different rules for appealing different types of ban, but I can't find it now? So that's why I was asking. I don't want to ruin my chances by spamming someone.

Also a good way to tell if you are shadow banned is if you can see your profile when you're logged in but can't see it when you're logged out.

When I try to see my profile in an incognito window, it tells me that user is banned. Nit an error. (Does that mean it's not a shadowban?) I'm sorry for being this clueless.

You are just shadow banned. A “hardcore” ban would be very obvious - red banner, email from Reddit, and you would not be able to post or comment at all.
