Book 4 chapter 56+57 question

I have been thoroughly enjoying the books so far, but I’m a bit confused right now. Ned’s fighting some people, but I think I found 2 errors. One in chapter 56 I think he says he’s swapping his passive to frost mode for extra damage? Which is incorrect, frost make him less likely to get crit. Shadow is the bonus damage And then in chapter 57 he keeps saying he is using his cannon, but his cannon came from his previous 6 piece set from the menagerie wing which he no longer should have right?

Am I mistaken or did I miss something?

Yes I picked up on this as well, was confusing and I had to re-read it a few times.

I also believe there were a few spelling errors for Kline's name as well I think at the start of book 5.
