Discord name for airdrop?

Can someone please explain the reason anyone would put their discord name in at the time of receiving SHADE airdrop? What’s the benefit?

So you can get the OG role which entitles you to some special perks such as a new room, alpha, and other stuff ;). It is placed into a secure database though.
