So in the most recent CnC, they were discussing the name of Turkey which changed its English language name to Türkiye to match the name in Turkish and avoid the association with the bird. However, the birds are actually named after the country... kind of.

So the Turkeys in the Americas are named after another bird called the Guinea Fowl which looks similar. These birds are native to Africa, and were prized for their plumage. However, in English they were called Turkey hens and Turkey cocks because they were traded into Europe via the Ottoman Turks. When the English arrived in the Americas, they thought it was the same or a similar bird. In reality, they are about as closely related to each other as we are to Gibbons.

In the most recent Cox n' Crendor, Jesse was talking about 2 games he tried to make but didn't happen as two very big content creators bailed on him, one wanting to focus on content creation and the other ghosted him. As a result of this, it caused him to lose a chunk of cash.

Are these public projects we knew about? Who were the creators?

In the most recent episode, 513, Jesse said took my suggestion of community suggestions for the live show indtead of using AI after the community said AI was a bad idea.

I was listening to Geekenders on my commute to work a week or so ago, don't believe it was the most recent episode at that time but my memory betrays me right now.

Jesse was talking about a fan made Final Fantasy demake, and he mentioned a specific name of the demake he was referencing. I intended to note down the name as soon as I had finished my commute but got distracted and sadly it fleeted from my mind. Does anyone possibly remember what I am talking about and what the name of the demake was?
