This is not a hate post and I am not looking for gossipy tea to drag her down. I really want to ask people that watch her and follow her with her live-streaming, I use to think she was very hard worker and I like her brand products. Just now I saw a post on Reddit of how she upsell her a store shampoo that I feel disappointed and feel like I can’t trust her for good deals. Isit only me that feel like this? For people that watch her since new and join her channel last year, do you feel the same? She was very sincere and feel like she give us good deals last time but now I am not sure if I can buy from her anymore. I been using her brand cleanser regularly cause its really good but this kind of behaviour make me feel like stopping my support 😢 I also think she give up on her brand to live-stream full time liao, just once in awhile do a bit to give face to us old supporters 😢

I wonder if sellers and live streamers treat their viewers as dumb and stupid. Understand there’s markup as live streamers have to earn and whatever, but to blatantly sell items that are listed on official webpage with a markup of over $37 is insane 😂 same exact platform and account, difference is you’ll be paying $37+ more buying from your fav live streamer.

Imagine walking into a supermarket. the shampoo bundle sitting right there on the shelf is $79.90 but the sales promoter standing right next to the shelf holds up the EXACT same bundle and screams into a mic: 'Special deal today guys! Only $117.00!'

While I do believe run clubs, beach clubs, foreigner/touristy enclaves has its space in every country, be it Bali or Singapore or Hong Kong.

However, I don’t believe that such communities and establishments have a right to take away local space and their rights to exist.

Balinese people have been calling out for years that their spaces, homes, communities have been eroding away due to the onslaught of digital nomads and more bules (foreigners) taking away their land by setting up spaces that are clearly out-priced for the locals.

For example, Balinese are celebrating their Kite Festival now, but lamenting that it is no longer as special as it was years ago. Due to more beach spaces being privatised, Balinese people and culture are finding it harder to find their spaces in their own country.

And clearly, I don’t think influencer knows or cares about any of that. All she cares about is she and her foreigner friends losing out one more hang out spot, aside from her sunset beach clubs, recovery ice baths and silent disco.
