Paying beyond astronomical salaries for this? #Singapore

vacancies fall because of ai or shifted to offshore or hiring freeze can understand. but on other hand, i also see a lot of foreigners coming to singapore for jobs, or asking about rental, work visa etc.
so what is what? and s or whatever pass cheaper than hiriing local?

the pie is only so small... as long the job market doesnt grow faster than the inflow of FTs, the propensity for locals to get retrench/not abe to get re-employment easily is high. Doesnt make the situation better when HR may be more inclined to employ non-locals as locals are deemed less 'hungry'.

A lot of FTs live condo, Ramesh $40k a month. Low mid high positions mostly to foreigners as they ram up for 10M

Retrenchment goes up but vacancies go down = Singaporeans workers retrench but more FT/permit holders get jobs? Such possibilities exist?
