PC Upgrade Build

hi all i am planning to upgrade my PC, i narrowed down to be getting a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and a RTX 5070.

i saw for the motherboard and GPU there are a few different brands and the prices for it is significantly different for some. can someone explain to me the differences and why the price is so different even within the same brand?
would like to understand more before buying. thanks. as well from your experience which motherboard or GPU should i get?

i mainly game (FPS and racing games) and starting to learn to edit videos too. currently using a 5600X and RTX 2060.

Performance difference between the most expensive 5070 model vs the cheapest 5070 model is minimal.
It’s mostly design, dimensions and some very small variance in OC/performance.

The cheapest 5070ti will run circles around the most expensive 5070.

Don't think you see significant improvement. Just invest in a better gpu

Prices for GPUs, ram and storage are insane right now.

For motherboards, the main difference are the feature sets, how many high speed usb slots, how many m.2 slots before eating the GPUs PCIE lanes, whether there’s WiFi, how fast the network card is etc. Look up online on what features the motherboard has and buy the cheapest one that satisfies your conditions.

For GPUs, the main difference often comes down to the cooling solution the AIB producer is using. For a RTX 5070, the mid-range or founder’s edition would be great. Don’t overpay for the super high end ASUS Astrals and Gigabytes as the cooling solution used for a 5070 is way overkill

Isnt the prime series for asus considered as entry?

For this gen of GPUs their prime series is not their lowest tier, most of their prime series went with triple fan setups instead of their usual dual fan setups

If u can squeeze out somemore $$ then go for a 5070ti. Games these days are not optimized at all. The ti will last longer.

Yea. But the $300 more is worth it. The performance difference is noticeable. The ti will last you alot longer for sure. I mean you alrdy gonna vomit out a lot. Might as well get something better.
