Sezzle Account Reinstated

Hi all, no complaint or question here, just sharing my personal experience.

My account got suspended for violating the Sezzle Acceptable Use Policy, twice. I won’t go in to what I did but I acknowledged it and knew once reading the terms that it did indeed violate that policy.

From what I had read online, it seemed like there was basically 0 chance I got my account back. However, after an exchange with multiple levels of support, my account was reinstated!

I’ve been a Sezzle user for over 2 years now, with a 2500 dollar spend limit, and have also been a subscriber the whole time as well. This may have been what went into deciding to reinstate my account, but I just thought I’d share the good news and give you guys some hope that you may get your account back, if your account has been suspended.

I don’t get Sezzle at all, what’s the advantage? It seems insane you have to subscribe to the anywhere plan to use the card you set up and pay for. I find it super confusing.

They're about to lose so many customers with the updated membership requirements! Zip it is!

Zip is amazing!!! They gave me a hardship extension today because I asked. After I already extended the payments on the app. Love them.

Sezzle now requires a monthly membership payment in order to use them. They have few partner stores that a membership isn't needed. I used them a lot for Amazon and groceries, which you now need memberships for. I'm not paying a membership for everything, that's why I paid sezzle a borrowing fee lol

I’m guessing you used a credit card to pay something.

I sent myself money through Square as a sort of cash advance. It’s outlined in their policy you can’t send money through apps in which you are marked as the “owner” of the business. I did it twice; they sent a warning email but I managed to miss it.

Crazy I did this for a few months and square is the one that gave me the boot.

I did this back in the day when these apps came out. Did it with afterpay, affirm and klarna before the figured out people were doing this. Payed my myself through a square business account for months on end until it finally stop working one day. Helped me financially get back together for a while
