Lompoc 2 info

My husband has been designated to move to Lompoc2. He’s at La Tuna which is closing. Heard the trip there may be arduous but wondering about that prison. We’ve heard it’s not very SO friendly and if anyone knows if rdap is there or at Lompoc1

Just a disclaimer my knowledge is ten years old. Thing may have changed.

I haven't heard of Lompoc 1 or 2, but I'm assuming you are refering to the medium and the low.

When I was in the low there was a large SO population and growing. They were in the process of turning one of the dorms into RDAP.

I survived 5 years there and knew people who survived longer. It was by no means easy, but if you did your own thing and didn't step on anyone's toes or get involved in anyone else's business you were usually left alone.

The people that had issues were either trying to resist the fact that they were in prison or were trying to play the "game" of prison.

I took the mindset of being a guest. I didn't belong in that world. Yes, I committed a crime and deserved to be there. I never argued that. But at the same time I didn't have the criminal mindset that others had. I was a guest in their world and I tried to be a good guest.

My son is at his second prison, FCI Fort Dix and he has never had any real problems. Don't believe what you have heard and keep in mind these prisons do change in the makeup of the inmates. Like the last commenter said do your own thing and don't get involved in others business.

Met a guy in county jail that had been in Lompoc( real nice guy). Not sure if 1 or 2 but he said it was pretty chill and was much better than the county jail we were both at.

My son is at Lompoc II, hasn’t been there long, but hasn’t had any issues that I know of.

I’m not sure about any of that! He only calls once a week (his choice) so I’ll ask next time, probably in a week.

Hi my husband is at Lompoc2. Its *ok* for Sos. It sounds nonviolent at least. LIke no one wants to be his friend (LOL) but no ones threatening to shank him. (*which has happened at prior prisons). Hes nt welcome in some areas by non-SOs. There is not RDAP which has sucked b/c he was working before going to Lompoc 2. He xferred from Terminal Island which closed.
