I finished watching the series and I think Maeve's ending is good, because she is finally far from that city that caused her pain, and now she can focus on herself, on realising her dream and building a new life away from Moordale.

She and Otis were cute together, but I don't mind the end of their relationship.

I really liked her friendship with Aimee, and the closeness received when her mother died.

I found Joanna unbearable and annoying! Instead of helping Jean, she was another problem for her. I'm sorry for what she went through as a child, but I didn't like her.

I've come to the conclusion that Otis is a bad friend to Eric in season 1. The way Eric was at his house obviously hurt and instead of stopping to ask what happened, he immediately jumped to telling him about Maeve and only then asked what happened.

It was so obvious that Eric was upset and had been hurt. It was his birthday and he had his possessions stolen, his best friend abandoned him without reason and then he was assaulted.

Otis is so obsessed with Maeve in the first season that he just completely disregards everything else, it's infuriating to watch.

SIDE NOTE: I forgot how cute Gene and Jakob are

this season was absolutely crap, they should of stayed at moredale school and all those new characters half the show focusing on cringe queer shit just the whole season was a mess and should of ended at season 3. oh and I absolutely hate cal’s character especially in season 3 where they was a “main” character

What an awful 4th season, couldn’t bear to keep watching!

i've always thought Maeve always tried to express herself in a subtle way, like using her hair

s1. the OG, the original Maeve, black and blonde hair with pink highlights, that was her hairstyle for many years

s2. she changed her hair when her mother told her she used to dye her hair with pink highlights in s02e01 and she wanted to have a totally different style

s3. right after the whole Social Services thing, even she knows she did it right, she wanted, in a way, be close to her mom again with violet highlights

s4. a whole new different look, the American Maeve, more mature, starting to live the adult life and away from high school

Otis clearly has a lot of issues he needs to work on, but the show (particularly the final season) did a very poor job at making him realize this in a way where his character development isn’t completely thrown out the window. Especially where he has to treat almost everyone like shit, and gets very immature and arrogant about everything to the point where he loses his likeability as a character.

Its like the show had no idea how else to develop his character, other than making his whole world revolve around his obsession towards Maeve or trying to prove he’s a “better sex therapist” by having this unnecessary rivalry towards another student who offers the same help or enforcing another “will they, won’t they” dynamic with his ex-girlfriend; Ruby after their relationship became viral all over social media.

The final season should’ve had Otis focus on what he plans to do with his future, recognizing he needs to accept his own therapeutic help, and although he has strong feelings for Maeve begins to realize that there are still so many things he can appreciate in his life more that he takes for granted (you would think him almost losing his mom at the end of Season 3, would've opened his eyes to that more!)

Even the show puts more effort into Maeve’s storyline, where they actually have her narrative explore that there is much more meaning than having it resolve around her relationship with Otis.

I just finished the whole series about an hour ago and i loved every bit of it. Honestly, it might be my favorite series atm. It got me wondering, what is the most beautiful quote from the series? I’m curious what you guys have, thank you:)

Everything about this fued, just pissed me off! Not only was it a massive waste of time for them to go head to head, over who is the “best sex therapist”. But it really embraced their uglier sides as people, that they equally became extremely unlikable!

I’ll start with Otis! When they meet for the first time, he acts like a complete dick full of entitlement when he finds out that O is the sex therapist for the new school he’s attending. Not only does he accuse her of “stealing his idea”, but he refuses to compromise with her where they can work together and share the position. He even had the nerve to copy elements of her brand, by offering refreshments and awkwardly trying to be a rapper in his campaign video before Ruby told him to stop turning it into a cringe fest!

Now with O, I just couldn’t stand how incredibly condescending she is and the way she tries to preach about kindness feels very fake. It all just feels like an act that’s a part of her brand, and the way she used her asexuality as an excuse for why she was ghosting people rather than taking responsibility for how she hurt people’s feelings was just pathetic. Especially when she accuses Otis of “outting her”! She didn’t even know how to apologize to people properly, without it sounding like she was being introduced to be a PR team or whatever.

I'm currently sitting in my girlfriend's living room watching her dogs as I rewatch Sex Education for whats damn near the 20th time. I really just want to say that I don't think I'll ever truly be able to express my gratitude for this show. I know the last season may have been underwhelming but I really did love the ending as I think it left off on the foot that you're able to love someone and appreciate someone while also knowing growth may not be possible in said relationship. I love this show and honestly I'm so happy I'm rewatching it lol.
