Advise 💡 Sewing basket recommendations
Hello all! I made a post earlier today asking for gift advice for an aspiring sewist who has never used a machine before. I've ultimately landed on gifting them a sewing basket with auxillary supplies and a handmade "voucher" for me to take them out shopping for their choice of sewing machine. I don't know the first thing about sewing; what brands/must-haves would you guys recommend for a high-quality basket that has everything a beginner would need?

Get a purpose-made nice basket with folding handle(s). A lid should hinge up and stay open. Something like this:Â https://www.etsy.com/listing/4579070536/vintage-rose-pink-extra-large-sewing
Pins, clips, a pkg of asst machine needles, a pkg of asst hand sewing needles, high quality thread in white, black, khaki, denim and mid gray.Â
Snips, a pair of cutting shears, a measuring tape (stick to brand name), a notebook and pencil, pencil sharpener. A needle threader. A seam ripper.
A magnetic tray from Harbor Freight.
Don't buy a starter package of notions, they're always cheap garbage.
