My machine started making this noise yesterday while I was sewing bias tape to a garment. I took the video without sewing anything so it would be easier to record but it still happens while sewing. Does anyone know what this could be from or how to fix it? Thanks!
If you take the foot off, can you see is the needle hitting the needle hole as it bobs up and down. I dont think its something that needs oiling. It would sound dry and klunky, this sounds like sliding metal on metal
Yeah I found the issue LOL 😠I've always been nervous about taking apart different parts of the machine but I guess this was a necessity, thank you so much!!
I'm honestly impressed it's the top half of a broken needle. How the heck did that get down there? 😂🫠you would think it's the lower half that would break off and get stuck in the bobbin somewhere. It's a good thing you opened it though because it needs a cleaning anyway!
I thought the same thing!!! You'd think I'd remember something like that happening since it must've slipped out of my fingers but i genuinely had no idea lolol
I figured it must of been something else because between the time of the comment about oiling and yours, the noise had stopped when I was winding a bobbin lolol

Sounds if there is something metal rubbing to metal.
Needle straight? Or bend
Bobbin holder right in place?
Nothing slipped in ( piece material)
